Does anyone play Battlegrounds on low levels anymore?

I’m playing on Firemaw, which is a full and balanced server, and still there are ridiculous queue times. Actually I might have to wait more than an hour and I’ll just leave queue and continue leveling.

Am I unlucky or should I just quit trying to join the bgs?

Btw I’ve tried on lvls 19 and 29 on “good” hours not like 11 in the morning server time and only managed to go on 1 battleground on many tries.

Lower brackets are mostly dead now in TBC, the end game 70 is what people play with raids and arena.

If you want to experience lower brackets, you should reroll in Season Of Mastery Classic. You have 40% more XP with quest and dungeons, so reroll should be easy here.

Twink community is still alive in Season of Mastery, from level 19 to 49. Pick Dreadnaught server for EU this is the best PvP server. Season Of Mastery started in November so it’s a bit fresh, you have many players in the world.

No, no one. It’s too bad really. Battlegrounds were always alive in the original game and I had an insane amount of fun with levelling a warrior almost exclusively in WSG. (well, from 36+ as before no use due to twinks).

Not saying I think twinking is a bad thing, just not mine, and a lot of ppl had fun with that and controlled the 10s and 20s brackets.

Well, those were the days I guess.

Thanks for the reply, might consider changing to SoM. However, the fast xp rates do ruin the experience and classic vibe for me.

No, who in his sane mind is going to play something that doesn’t give you any type of reward?

But there are rewards: honor, marks, reputation and gear. You also get to have fun, after all it is a videogame, not a job.

Probably not, everybody knows what low level BGs turn to $hit when every character there is minmaxed from head to toes.

People playing low level bgs would mostly do it for fun. But that fun is destroyed with just 1 super twinked char in the bg. Let alone multiple of them.

This pretty much, I played a bg at level 17 with some quest gear. Full of players that have 3 to 4 time as much HP and two shot me. No point in playing those

I did like 1 saw twinks /afk out and didn’t go back until 70 haha

As said by many, low level BGs were killed by the twinks. All with head, shoulder, leg enchants, maxed EQ, all using pots, Eng items etc. Waste of time for anyone wanting to BG for fun at a low level.

Yea… Imagine concidering “fun” as a reward in itself.

But on the topic, i recently checked brakets for 19, 29, 39 and 49. Estimated waiting time was “unavailible”.

Levelling BG’s wont ever exist again in WoW because the player base isn’t aligned towards it. Everyone levels up at the same time then player numbers start to drop. Back in Vanilla/TBC people slowly came to the game as it became popular meaning there was a fresh supply of new players to do all content at all levels.

There reality is that “levelling up” is just a barrier to entry for players in modern games and is no longer a process of learning and enjoyment - Retail made everything that isn’t current-tier raiding 10th on their list of priorities, so it’s unsurprising that other types of gameplay both started to die and became ignored by new players.

I have fond memories of spending week levelling up and queuing WSG at the same time (40 minute queue times due to same-server only queues). Until Cataclysm i always levelled in PVP specs because I always assumed PVP was just the baseline of the game, and if you wanted to raid hardcore you’d respec.

The opposite is the case now.
