Are EU Shaman forum, suggestions and all the feedback even read from blizzard?
For some time I questioned this.
For too long this Class suffers from proper work and talent adjustments.
After the last updates, basically every class got a talent merges and updates. Meanwhile, we don’t even appear .
The Expansion is at the doors and feels like nothing is happening as it should for Shamans.
All the new Hero Talents seems great thematically, but when you see ppl that’s are testing them saying they do not work as intended.
I just can’t understand why Shaman needs to be always like this. It’s insane, since the very first expansion, Burning Crusade, Shaman starts to shake on it’s balance and place in the game. Everyone got the buffs and skill we were supposed to provide. Leaving with nothing to support the losses of unique things we had.
Shaman needs a lot of fixes:
. we need a survival skill, like burrow from PvP to be for PvE
. Why is frost shock a talent?
. Why if Flurry a talent on the shaman baseline Tree when enhancement is the only one needing it badly?
.why does this talent “refreshing waters/focused insight” even exists in our Enhancement build instead of the shaman baseline build?
. Wind Fury needs it’s base DMG increase and remove forcefully winds talent,
. Ice Strike and Frost shock needs to be merged and workaround it’s extra effect
. Talents build need a total revamp and update allowing us to go lava lash or storm strike build, right now our talents are so badly distributed that essential talents for 1 build are on the other side, makes no sense,
. Wind Fury Totem needs to be baseline skill for Enhancement
. Bring 2handed weapon once and for all. The class can work with it, just make lava lash and storm strike be cast with all melee weapons. Why can’t we just have fun playing it?
There is too many things to do in this class that I don’t even understand why it came out like this. This is the result for being left behind for too many expansions, we lacked proper dedication into it and now it’s a complete mess.
Everything flashes with procs that don’t have the impact that is supposed to do.
Why is even warrior having a better version of what we were supposed to be?
What is going on?
Why does it feels like shaman is so Hatred from the deves?
There are so many suggestions for this class everywhere it’s insane the way how it can be in this state.
They want feedback and they get it from the TWW beta forums, not from the class forums. In case they want to get some useful feedback, they get it from the class discord where they have actual people that do a good job moderating the discussion and knowledgeable players.
And they are kind of right. If the main point of contention for shaman as feedback is to bring back 2H, make WF/SS hit for more and go back to legion spec design, then there is a big gap between them and active shaman playerbase.
Well that’s wrong then. This is the official Class page for discussion. Not discord.
If this is their official place then this should be the priority of reading and communicating with the Shaman players. Not fanmade discord moderated by who knows who.
If there are so many competent people on discord giving class feedback then why is the class this sad state ? We don’t even appear on the last patch notes.
Who is even working on this class? Do we even know the team behind this? Why can’t we properly have a talk about the class mechanics and currently state? I’m not just talking about enhancement, but the class itself.
The new hero talents can’t even provide a good playable experience because the class doesn’t work itself.
The facts of the matter is that discord channels are more popular, they are the place where players go for information, and you get some serious discussion with a number of good players of the spec.
You can think that this is “not right”, but at the end of the day, the reason blizz has the forums, is to gather feedback. If they get better feedback from the discord, then ofc they will use it. What blizz wants is to get good feedback, not promote the official forums.
Keep in mind that this is for the class forums per se. The tww beta forums is used pretty well and gathers quality feedback (especially in the us). Main reason is because those players actually make an effort to take the feedback from the discord channels, filter it, and post it in some well written posts.
Yeah because it is not our turn. Each class got like a million changes and several passes. This was the hunter’s week, the dhs and shamans are the last 2 it seems.
Blizz seldom gives info about what developers/teams are working on what class. Best you can do is follow some developers on tweeter and work out who is working on what projects.
Yeah, main reason discord gives better feedback. In the forums it is way easier to create echo rooms, where people just doom about their class/spec being the worst.
Shaman and each of the spec have a plethora of issues, that each season become more or less relevant.
An example is your take that all 3 specs of the class don’t work at all by themselves, this is an example of feedback that is almost useless, since it lacks any context, does not provide information on what does not work, and the only call to action is to scrap the shaman class.
