Does Devourer become more envolved?

Hey folks, question for those who have played beta. Does the Devourer spec become more envolved when they get apex talents?.

What I mean is does the gameplay get better. Because so far the rotation just seems to be 3 buttons and it’s just a little meh compared to the dance we get with havoc.

Did you really expect more buttons? After every spec got half their rotation wiped/combined?

I don’t have an answer,did not play beta.Hope someone else will.

The problem for me is not that it has few buttons,but the slowness of them.My question is why do we have warlock/priest cast times lenght for half the range/damage and survivability?

Managed to stomach 15 mins of devourer but after went back crying and hugging my havoc hehe.

Been waiting for so long for a 3rd spec but good God this is not what I pictured.

From what I saw on a video a while back, the spec can have 2 types of builds. 1 build is a simple midnight range dps and the other is more involved with the addition of needing to jump in and out of melee using abilities. I’ve no first hand experience with DH though, but I hope this is a start point in your research. :slight_smile:

I’ve no experience with Devourer (or DH as a whole), but wowheads guid suggests using way more than 3 buttons as a Devourer, maybe check there?

The spec is cool on paper but the execution is just so damn slow. Everything feels like its going against the idea of just being nimble and agile void monster as all the skills take ages to recharge, getting Fury takes way too long to get to cast the cool skills and the need to run around like headless chicken to gather them is just annoying as hell. Its shame because I liked the idea of the class but as of now it feels half baked

It is hell if you are doing let’s say mythic or raid in pugs but they have said that they will fix it .do let’s see .

The apex talents give you a cast of Collapsing Star as soon as you Meta, it does make it feel better, also as others have said there are talents you can take which give you more to do, weaving in/out of combat and another button or two to push.

This is upsetting - there’s just no interest or fun anymore to specs now. Pressing the same three buttons in order is not going to keep players engaged because Blizzard wanted to stop some people feeling “overwhelmed”. :roll_eyes:

Which class/spec can be played with only 3 buttons now? I’ve looked through wowhead guides, but didn’t see any that would have just 3 buttons listed in their rotation :confused:

So far I have tested my Unholy Dk ,shadow priest,Bm hunter,Havoc and the new Devourer,Ret pala and none has only 3 buttons.The biggest culprit being the Dk with 2 full bars still(yeah 1 bar is utility but still),second being shadow with just as much.

The problem I see ,is the sinnergy in some cases and the new Devourer being slow as a snail,which is counterintuitive to its Dh nature.

It’s reminding me an awful lot of the Legion demo lock and that, really wasn’t good :joy:. Spamming one button for resources and then using two to attack. That was pretty much it.

I’ll check out the other hero build but at the moment it really really isn’t living up to the hype.

The Annihilator M+ build feels ready fo my Xbox ngl.

Game play has become dull for every class now.

I really miss how the classes felt before. The game lacks any depth now.
