Does it hurts when people still prefere a 15 year old game?

it’s 12:18, time to wake up and make lunch.

While I have no insider information about Blizzard…
The private server core has been written in C++, in a fairly efficient way, not bloated. It has been further optimized for large servers. I stopped following when they started requiring some 3rd party modules.

In contrast, modern companies - including gaming - tend to enforce complicated design methods which can be useful for many aspects, but they are definitely taxing on hardware.

I have been talking with many people and it’s like a religion for most. Design first, functionality second.

Thus I’m happy you point this out! People only learn if they fail.

I am still waiting for this drop off to happen. … is it a PvP versus PvE thing or what? The zones are as full as they have ever been at my PvE servers.

You think we’re naive? I have some news for you - you’re paying for it too. One subscription supports two versions.

I typed it really really slowly for you.

It’s tricky to tell while we still have layering but once that goes we’ll see a clearer picture of how many are around. With more pvp realm options the numbers are spread around so it’s likely the pve realms are high population just by virtue of having limited choice at the beginning. I’m on ZT and I don’t find it noticibly quieter at all but I do find when you group with someone you often drop into a much busier layer.

I just love the pessimism of the Classic crowd and their mindset that everyone is out to get them. It’s funny(I can’t feel sad for people who consciously cause their own misfortune) how they got everything they asked for and just can’t be happy with it.
Retailers might have their own issues, but the worst you get are the trolls who picture every move of Blizzard in the most moustache-twirling evil intent fashion. Surprisingly, after Classic launch their numbers dwindled by a huge amount…

‘There is evidence to suggest he doesn’t.’

Let’s see it then.

Generalising is never good

Allen (Bliz CEO) is just bitter that he wasn’t on the original WoW dev team

I guess that’s why he tries to sabotage it. From “you think you do” to other things…
