If you just play the game to go through boosts, why even play
Maybe because there is too much annoying and not fun things to farm , without mentioning brainless timegating ? Imagine beginning WoW in 2022, there a lot of barriers before you can actually play the game.

There are many reasons that people leave and play other games, I don’t think “not getting better” at the game is top of that list.

Ahhhhhm the stuff to farm and grind is before raiding and ksm.
If you boost that, for what do you need it then?
Not totally clear yet whether it will end all boosting but a massively positive step.

The Problem for me was not the boosting that split the community.
But rather Addons such as Raider IO or some garbage like that.
You can barely join any decent Raid group nowadays anymore without either being ignored due to a low raider IO score.
Buying boosts at first was pretty much the only way outside of LFR to see a raid whatsoever.
I have nothing against banning boost communities or so in itself. But if they do so, then go all the way and get rid of those elitist addons that gateway newer players aswell.

that will hopefully change now… if they keep ousting boosts because those groups will run out of people to recruit which meet their stupid requirements.
I log, do raid spend 5k on consumables min if prepot prices are good and another 2k on repairs, get 0 gold. I do m+, I spend 5k on consumables, get 0 gold. All the gold besides boosting that I get is from selling gears. Theres no way Im gonna be doing mission table, mining or world quests. I just wanna log and play high end content, not farm some stupid repeatable stuff so I can do what I want.
Yup. That’s the point. I don’t want to do some idiotic timegated stuff for months to unlock anything. Grinds are OK, if they can be done at your own pace. If I have 12 hours to play, I want to get the grind done, not have it stretched over 24 30 minutes sessions or whatever just to boost their “metrics”.
