Not over. Just diminished considerably.

‘This policy update does not restrict individuals or guilds from using the provided in-game tools (“trade channel” chat) to buy or sell in-game items or activities for in-game currency. However, “boosting communities”, especially those who operate across multiple realms, are no longer permitted.’

5 man/guilds can still advertise boosts via trade but huge cross-realm communities cant

Don’t know. It says the communities are banned. Not sure if you can still find a workaround to boost people. This could potentially be huge if it’s actually carried out properly.

So that should remove a lot of the spam in both LFG and chat but guilds would still be able to sell boosts if I understand correctly.

Let’s clarify for the folks at home, it doesn’t ban all boosting, it bans organized multi-realm boosting.

No that only means you will not see anymore NOVA SYLVANAS DAWNSOMETHING SOMETHING in trade chat cazuse they can’t do that anymore
but guilds and other types of boost are ok
so from now on you will see a guilds from realms posting in trade chat selling boosts

I think it’s because many communities was caught in selling boost for real money and they were trading gold across realms to other players so Blizzard lost out on gold tokens but also this way other players then need to buy tokens on high pop realm on their character with zero gold to buy boost from those guilds now. So it’s a win win situation for Blizzard.

Because they would do cross realm boosting.
