Recently installed an add-on to track my movement speed and noticed that pathfinder only seems to apply to ground mounted speed - is this supposed to be the case? If so, do hoof-plates consumable/mount equipment work to replace the 20% pathfinder buff on flying mounts or does it also only affect ground mounts and is this intended?
Workings:
On my DK/Paladin, when ground mounted I get 240% speed . I’m assuming this is 100% base speed + 100% mount speed + 20% pathfinder + 20% class passive (mount up perk gets overridden by class passive or pathfinder bonus - not using hoof-plates buff/equipment but I believe these don’t stack either). However, when flying, it is only 430% speed. I believe this to be 100% base + 310% flying + 20% class passive.
On non-DK/Paladin, I get 220% ground mount speed (100% + 100% + 20% pathfinder bonus), but only 420% flying. I’m guessing this is the 410% base mount speed with the + 10% mount up (i.e. no pathfinder bonus).
i know there are so many things that dont stack that makes most of them pointless once you have pathfinder.
my warrior right now is also 420% (dwarf war) so you are most likely right.
apparently hoofplates do NOT stack with pathfinder. i didn’t know there was any movement speed increase mount equipment so unsure if it would stack of not.
this item is basically useless. as it doesn’t stack with other increases basically everyone else will have, and 2nd, cause its inferior to the other 3 mount equipment i have seen.
its like they dont really put any thought into it at all
