Does the mouseover still work on the legion 8.2.5?

I’m not experienced in World of Warcraft.
I’ve heard of, mouseover then I just thought of testing it. I don’t make it work. Having looked at Google where found older results, I tested them. I play legion 8.2.5 and as a hunter. My question is, does mouseover still work, does it only work on Healers?

I was just going to test it out for fun.
I kind of tested this:

1. / cast [@ target = mouseover, exists] spell

2, / [help] [mode] spell @ target = mouseover, exists]

3; #showtooltip
/ cast [@ mouseover = target exists]
/ cast spell; spell

I have copied different codes from web pages yet do not work.
What would trigger mouseover?
It works when I press it.
