Depends on how hard you want to minmax your character. Some slots have a larger stat budget, so you’ll have more stats on the legendary if you put it there, for example. Some slots are tier slots, so if you don’t want to recraft your legendary if your first 4 pieces include a slot that is your legendary, don’t craft the legendary on tier slot.

So let’s say my first legendary is in my “legs” slot and I don’t wan to recraft that for various reasons.
Then the other 4 tier set slots are off limit (head, shoulder, chest, feet, right?)
So out of the remaining, which ones have more or less stat budget? I assume the gloves slot, or maybe cloak?
Gloves, rather than feet for tier. At that point, I’d probably craft on rings for a socket.
Belt or boots is best option atm becosue this slots will give you most main stats and secendary stats and other slots and will be use becosue of tier set you dont need to craft secend lego max rank day 1 if you dont have that much gold you can buy item with lower ilvl just to craft get legendary for effect and upgrade in future when price on 291 drop a bit

I’d stick with belt, because 500 flux is cheaper than trying to craft it at any other slot, not to mention it won’t collide with tier sets. Oh, and you don’t want a collision with the other leggo either.
The other slots I’d go for are boots, or rings if you heavily rely on secondaries.
The belt still owns.
Most people are trying to avoid a tier slot and avoid clashing legendaries for different content.
Many of the guides online have recommendations or you can just do what suits you.
