More dmg is not a solution for the problem pvp being so bursty.

its not only that. If you join 2s as a healer youre instantly nerfed by 30%

how is this even a thing? Theres major flaws in the game design in order to need stuff like this.

The problem imo is too much selfheal and defensives of dps classes. This would automatically make games shorter and then blizz can buff healers so they dont feel useless. This sounds like a good idea to me, no?

It’s a safety flag, so healer cant get griefed that easily

I’m curious, are you playing a lot of matches where a healer goes 0-6?
I’ve almost never seen this happen. But I play healer and every time I win the 1st five, the SS ends…

I don’t think the math on it is disputable:
If 1of2 healers is completely outmatched, all dps will go 3-3.
If 1of4 dps is completely outmatched, all healers go 3-3.
So healers are statistically twice as likely to 3-3 straight out of the gate. But in practice its worse than that. Loads of dps are capable of flying across the arena behind a pillar, and dying, faster than even our mounts can get us across the arena!
You at least have the option to play around a weak healer, not that it’ll be easy.
We can’t really play around a DPS who continually lines/ranges us out into the open.

It’s a thing because at high rating, where everybody min/maxes their classes/gameplay, games don’t end until a certain % of dampening in many situations and it’s boring. I remember in BfA, last time I played some real 2s, facing wl+rdru or dh+rdru as ele+healer and being like: “okay, they can’t kill us+they won’t die until ~45% dampening, so we can either just sit behind a pillar and wait 10mins or run around the middle of the map, press glowing buttons and pretend to do things, while nothing is really happening, just to look fancy. Either way, it doesn’t matter.”

Dbl rogue still Stealth-cheesing this in 2s to this day…

That’s an extreme example though, you picked the biggest abomination of a comp there ever was. Facing double warlock is more fun that that.

My math is based on probability. Its the closest to reality we can get. And even if its not 100% accurate, the result would be the same. Since 3-3 is a draw, you can either count it as both lose, or both win = still in line with 50/50 winrate probability. Or actually, if the mmr on all the players are equal, it will count as a win. In that case, the winrate is even higher than 50%. Which means even more inflation.

Well, this is just cherry picking. Yes, a DPS can make a bad decision that is out of the healers hand. And therefore mess up the game for the healer.
But healers are just as plausible to make a mistake that messes it up for 2 players. Right? Doesn’t matter how well i play. If the healers trinkets the wrong CC and the gets stuck in a chain so i die, thats on the healer, no? I can’t really play around that.

as a healer this would actually make me never queue up again

if i wanted a dps race where the only limiting factor is mana or “enrage” (a.k.a which healer ooms the fastest) i would just go and spam m+

I like this. Kicks are so cheap that I often see them mindless thrown at me during a go.
But 2/3 of my pvp talents are mandatories, and the 3rd is used for situational mandatory.

Do you have a hard time understanding? I don’t want to play healer. Not because they have a terrible time in SS or arena in general. No, its because i want to play DPS. I even have a monk that i have done SS with as a healer, so you can let go of that idea too.

And never EVER did i say we should not incentivize playing healer. Just that increasing their rating gain is NOT the sollution. It would just create another major issue. But reward them for having to deal with bad DPSers, as if DPS don’t have to deal with bad healers? nah.
