Domination Shards and bag space (solution found!)

Could we have some way to delete these? Currently they’re indestructible.
I have about 6 that i won’t ever use and they’re just taking up precious bag space.

I tried putting them in void storage, unfortunately that backfired, since apparently the game doesn’t know that they’re there, as such other two SAME shards dropped as two i already had in storage… now i have double shards of Tel and Kyr taking up even more bag space. :no_mouth:

I don’t dare putting them back in void storage, as i’ll likely get even more duplicates to fill up my bags.

atm you can delete them only by socketing them on a piece of gear, and getting rid of the piece of gear.
just dump them in your bank with the heart of azeroth and all the other obsolete undistractibles from previous expansions.

I tried disenchanting my gloves that have a socket… but it says that i can’t.
I tried straight up deleting it, it could work, as the popup to write Delete appeared.
I obviously didn’t go through with it as i don’t want to delete my gloves…

They are there in the bank, i don’t have room for anima that is starting to pile up in my chars bags, so i was looking to make more room in my bank…

Also what happens when the expac is over, i don’t want to keep some useless gems forever.
Heart of Azeroth is an artifact, there aren’t that many of those anyway.

I think you can socket them to the 220 ilvl bracers sold by one of the korthia vendors. Would cost you either research or stygia though.

Well if it was a 1 time deal to get rid of them, it would be worth it.
But these will keep dropping weekly… 2-3, can’t really afford to waste all that stygia or research.
Though i will go and waste 2 of the duplicates, as they won’t drop anymore since i won’t place the shards in void storage!

The implementation is problematic and should get looked over.
Maybe have an option for the upgrade NPC to delete them?

I meant to keep it and stick all the shards in it, overriding the previous one.

That shouldn’t be possible anymore, since they made them indestructible for exactly this reason… because some players destroyed theirs that way.

I know someone from my guild that did just that and destroyed a shard that even had a few upgrades done…

Reminds me of the fixes some SE’s do at my work place, also amazing how they make new versions of software that have even less options than the ones before it. :roll_eyes:

So, i’ve found the solution, how to delete them.

  1. Have any item with a domination socket
  2. Place the domination shard in it
  3. Go to the void storage
  4. When putting it in and trading (10g cost for the deposit) it will say that it removes all modifications.
  5. It will remove the shard permanently. :slight_smile:
  6. You may retrieve your emptied item.
  7. Do this for each excess shard you don’t care about, it will only cost 10 g each time.
  8. …
  9. Profit! a.k.a enjoy more bag space. xD
