Done with hc finally

Too many stupid mechanics on this game, can’t finish a green quest full world buffed because the elite just gotta have 10x my hp and damage so I eventually just get crit from half my hp and die. The mob literally had no other mechanics beside a shadow word pain and hitting hard.
There is nothing “hard” about this, it’s just a stupid stat check. I don’t feel outplayed, or could’ve played better or anything, it’s just dumb af.
90% of the game is running from A to B and the rest is killing mobs for quest items that never drop.
There is no pvp and you lose all your gold upon dying, people will just quit sooner or later, Nekrosh is already dead.
“haha ripbozo” → haha dead servers

All those things is no different from regular Classic, besides permanent death.

For Elite quests it is always recommended to group up or face near certain death.

So because you can’t solo a group quest you are quitting? Oh dear. Maybe go back to retail?

Try reading again, it’s a green quest and I’m full buffed, yes I expect to solo an elite 3 levels below me. Mob should miss me 80% of the time but somehow it doesn’t, your spells can even get resisted by some lvl 10 dog at lvl 50.
The whole combat logic is backwards, rules that apply to you don’t apply to mobs.
About the retail stuff, I just cancelled sub and play better games.

What is this number based upon? I don’t think a 3 level lower mob will miss you 80% of the times while being “full world buffed”.

Edit:

On a regular mob if your skills (weapon and defense) are maxed whose level is 3 above yours, your hit chance is 9% lower with a two handed and 28% lower with dual wield.

Since this is an elite mob, there stats is likely buffed making it a harder encounter but is nowhere near 80% miss rate against you with only a 3 level difference.

Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose.

This game mode is a complete meme anyway. Waiting room till we get news on the real one.

There are different kinds of elites. There are easy elites like croc in STV who just has bit more hp and there are hard elites like ogres or giants who have a lot of hp and do a lot of DMG.
So if you try to solo that elite ogre as a non-op class then you are toast.

Some elites are basically minor boss mobs out in the open world.

Take Lord Falconcrest as an example, he’s way stronger than most if not all open world elites at that level, going up against him, even if you fight 1v1 there is probably no way you could solo that while being only 3 lvls above.

Its a green “elite quest” some elite quests are 2 man group quest, some are 5 man group quest, its a big different witch one you try to solo. FYI

What class were you on OP? Just curious. Some classes (hunter/lock) have it much easier soloing elites. Some have it quite hard even fully buffed

Go back to retail? Why the heck would they want to do that? Retail is finished for now.

They seem to want HC to be an easy mode game, which is what Retail is.

Retails open world is also pointless. Retails based on instanced content no, which isnt easy, if hes hitting the wall here, he will only hit a different wall in retail.

but you were outplayed when you chose to fight the elite, if you didn’t engage you wouldn’t have died.

you can also transfer for free to classic era when you die, you lose nothing.

There is nothing hard about a stupid green mob stat checking you and auto-attacking you to death with 0 abilities. You just have to know how much hp he has and dmg he does, which you can’t unless you have information about it already. Design is stupid.

You can disengage. For example, use the stopwatch from badlands.

Maybe you should set up your nameplates addon to show elite status?

Maybe you should use your time for literally anything else than trying to make people angry on a game forum 24/7?
If I see he is elite then what? Should I invite a party? That’s the “hard” part? Or which part is “hard” please explain to me man. Where does the difficulty lie? Knowing the elites stats by heart? Because you can’t tell :

  • his hp
  • his damage
  • his attack speed
  • his abilities
Before you say : well you can see half of that with addons, yea, I have like 10, add more to that then the post would be : which addon made me disconnect randomly and die.

Tried, when my evasion went off I got crit so hard I couldn’t press my vanish, and had a shadow word pain rolling on me anyways.
