He is the only Goblin character with an unique model and super funny. I don’t want to be forced to kill him just because he was mean to the Alliance. This offing of former Horde leaders needs to stop.
I think the only thing Gallywix ever did to the Alliance was challenging Gelbin and losing badly. I guess he destroyed some nameless grunts along the way, as well as a nameless airship where no one we know was on board, but I don’t think anyone cares about that. People that have some beef with him are usually Horde, cosidering he enslaved his own people, after probably creating the catastrophe that destoyed their home, he supported Sylvanas and her excesses, and thus the losing side in the civil war, he plundered Zandalari temples, and… well, he straight-up deserted the Horde.
So yeah, if he’ll be killed it won’t be because the blue team cares. It also won’t be the offing of a Horde leader, because he hasn’t been one for 2,5 addons now. He won’t be sacrificed on the altar of faction dynamics. He might be sacrificed to show us how far the goblins have progressed as a people though, and I’d certainly hate that.
So yeah, I generally agree that having him around was fun and that he was a much more interesting and fun representation of sleazy goblinhood than the bland Gazlowe could ever be. His character is kind of a running gag, but I like having running gags around, and goblins are made for that. I agree that he should have kept a role in Goblin politics, and that throwing him away as a raid kill is a bad idea, and will probably leave the world of Warcraft poorer for it. I hope he survives the raid to do more mischief in the future.
We have enough heroic stoic races already no need to change Goblins just so they can become green gnomes.
