Don't Let your Efforts, Achievements And Time Spent Haunts you to Keep Playing

This is happening to me and is the only reason I kept playing the game regardless of how bad it is

whenever I feel like that this game isn’t worth my time and money anymore, I always think of the effort and achievement i achieved and time spent on this game which keeps on haunting me to keep playing the game, yet it’s clearly that blizzard went from a company that cares about their players to a money-grubbing company

this isn’t the game that we loved once, it isn’t anymore, they started designing and implementing content that is more like a chore, and to keep you login in and keep you paying regardless if you are happy or pissed off

but let me tell you that they don’t care if you are playing the game pissed off or happy, since at the end you pay the same money

so an advice from me, if you are unhappy with the game, but feeling bad of quitting because of time and effort you put into the game, try not to feel that way and quit

because if you keep paying, they won’t improve, and will keep making content that drain your wallet while you are getting nothing from the game but stress

I regret pre-ordering shadowlands, but now it’s too late, and ill never do that mistake again until i see the content on release

I just play for the sake of it, and I mostly do so as a collector. But I have zero problems ditching the game for something else… I’ve taken year long breaks from WoW numerous times no problem.

Quite a few games this year I am looking forward to, such as RE3remake and FF7remake just around the corner. :stuck_out_tongue:

Just can’t understand how people pre order an expansion while being disgusted by the current one… I mean was the hype really so powerful that you couldn’t stop yourself from pre ordering it ?

I’m 100% sure i’ll play shadowlands launch, no matter how bad it may be because an expansion launch is always the best time for gold making. And yet i still didn’t pre ordered it (not enough gold =/)

OP, sounds like you need to drop the game and walk away.

I don’t know if it still exists but there used to be a website called wowdetox or something for ‘WoW addicts’. If people really hate the game that much but find themselves still playing or posting here, get help somewhere.

While i am not disgusted i can’t say i am super happy about the state of the game now and what it can offer me. But i preordered SL anyway, because:

If you aren’t enjoying the game then it’s best to take a break. Some enjoy catching up on achievements, hunting down transmog, mounts, pets etc. If this isn’t fun then it’s best not to do them.

You are right the game is money-grabbing at this stage with tokens and the ingame shop, but unfortunately nothing will change unless something drastic happens with the profits WoW makes. Only then will perhaps something be done to correct mistakes.

<<didnt preorder shadowland but probably will for the mount :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Best thing to do is take breaks otherwise you can get burnt out, not just talking about this game but on any mmo.

I have this and ffxiv that i rotate as subscription games, once i start to feel the burnout on one i cancel it’s sub i switch to the other and play that.

Then i have several mmo games that you can easily play as f2p that i am just super casual on that i play on and off while playing my sub games as well. Plus single players for when i just wanna play totally solo.

This way i don’t get that burnt out on a game that i get sick of it and start to hate it. I know this method would not be for everyone but for me it works.

I like community here. Some of people here are quite funny. I spend here more time than in-game. True.

Think I’m the same. If I take breaks I play eso, holdfast nations at war or some RPGs like assassin’s creed or dragons age. Just completed the main story in dragon age inquisition. I am likely going to take a break soon as feeling a bit meh about this patch now.
