In Shadowlands we got fated raids because of COVID basically. Then they did it again in Dragonflight. It is NOT an acceptable replacement for a X.3 raid tier. Blizzard said they “WANT” to release expansions faster but i doubt that will happen. WANT is a buzzword to make ppl think its a promise. If we get another Fated season it means Blizzard gets away with the same length expansions with 25% less work put in. And seeing how everything has been bugged so far this expansion it definitely isnt acceptable.

I completely forgot about the fated raids.
I imagine we’ll see them do it as well for TWW. It’s their way of thinking they’re adding more content before the new expansion is released

Fated seasons are great. Means I can focus on Legion Remix then.

I don’t think we are getting a fated season during this trilogy. I will not miss them. Just recycling.

I don’t think there is time before Midnight comes out to have more than three seasons but we will see. Who knows.

Doesn’t really seem time for a fourth season. Nor does it seem to be planned.

This and DF also only had 4 months of testing so if it starts a couple of months after s3, then we’ll be on track for their desired shorter expansions and no s4.
I understand your wishes for new content. However, I do like the fated Seasons at the end of an expansion. It allows late joiners to enjoy the content of earlier seasons in that DLC to be experienced as they were back then.
It’s a one-time seasonal experience for them because afterwards when a new expansion launches, there is little to no chance to experience it as “as it was back then” due to legacy-status and such.
And timewalking versions of those raids are mostly a joke tbh.
Also, on another note, a Fated Season is perfect for collecting transmogs as well.

SL fated season was cool because they tried experimental stuff and kept what worked. And we were all OP. So it was cool.
DF fated season was absolute BS. Nothing new or experimental. They just did a copy-paste of S3 and did not even bother doing class or dungeon tuning for 8 months. That sucked. Big time.
So fated season YES if blizzard will go crazy with new and experimental stuff. And do weekly balance tuning and stuff like that.
If they dont do squat then NO. I prefer a new raid then.

TBH you still will get 25% less stuff in the expansion, it will just end faster and you will get the next one by the start of 2016.
And to be clear fated season were never a replacement for a raid tier. They were a replacement for 6 months to a year of content drought.
I like fated patch, it makes all raid content relevant.
In dragonflight i wanted for it and it was good to match Vault gear with Amirdrassil one.
Mine regret was to play it very late so I did them once and had to skip aberrus.

They better start that Midnight Alpha up right about yesterday if we are to avoid a fated season.
With us getting a ‘bullion-esque’ system this season, I don’t think we’ll get a fated season.
That system so far had been part of the fated season exclusively. I fully expect to see it again in s3.
I think we’ll have a longer than normal post-season 3, with things like Remix and housing to keep us occupied.
We’ll see what happens.
If there is no fated season, or a S4 in general, we are looking at Midnight released around early February 2026. Does anyone else have confidence that Blizzard will have the expansion ready for so early? And if it does, how much less content and dragged out are we going to get? TWW is already the expansion with the lowest amount of dungeons, lowest amount of bosses in dungeons, lowest amounts of raids and lowest amount of raid bosses simultaneously.

I dont have play SL, reason I skipped SL I hated this.
But I turned in DF and played Season 4 too. I thinked DF’s Fated Season was ok. No bad.
Still dunno if blizz put fated season TWW’s Season 3. Since TWW had something changed like Punyelf said.
That too, they’ve already given us their dinars from wish experiment.
