The change to the crit modifier with shadowlands from 150% to 175% was the reason why the game transitioned from damp to a significantly faster meta with SL.
Now with that being reverted + the overall cc reduction this might very well end up like bfa 2.0
I hope im wrong but this screams like caster cleave damp meta to me. And nobody wants that. Not even caster cleave players themselves haha. Its the worst kind of meta.
The fast stacking dampening and 0 corruptions/forced PvE wont allow that to happen. This patch will be a breath of fresh air for healers. Zug Zug and stun has been rewarded for far too long. Rogue as a class has been absolutely revolting for 20 years too. I honestly cant wait till the 22nd
I hope youre right and you might be. Just wanted to express my concern about a too slow meta. But blizzard stated already they will keep an eye on the pace.
This chance wont come on the 22nd tho. Its gonna be with 10.1 which is in around 2.5 months if i had to guess.
Oh ? well thats disappointing. The current meta is absolutely farts, And im clearly not the only one who thinks so. 7 minute BG queues as alliance on a Saturday night that usually ends up playing against a Russian premade
If this is their attempt at reducing SS q times then it’s actually brilliant. Think about it. When the arenas are wet noodle fights that go to deep dampening it’s going to make all the DPS players quit out of boredom. So basically, there’ll be less people playing, but the healer to DPS ratio will be better, meaning faster queue times. 5Head move, Blizz!
but who think rog is gonna die? kidney from 5.1 sec to 5s, cheapshot from 3.2 sec to 4 sec, blind 5 seconds ye but u know that blind doesnt put the target in combat, that means if the rog is good he will monitor healer gcds and when he is not casting for 1s he just press blind and he will drop combat (combat drop in 6s) so idk why ppl think rog is gonna die
also lately assa rogues dont even need blind, they can easily just blind dps to stop people while dotting every1 like an affli melee
That will never ever happen, not even on AWC level;p also why would healer stop casting?
The change for rogues is very good. If they will be too weak, blizzard will buff them, but NOT in a toxic way that one instant ability always forces trinket without any outplay potential.
Imo they have targetted the wrong thing, micro CCs are imo the main problem. You rarely ever even see CC chains in the game right now but micro CCs stop casters/healers doing a lot.
Also there are other ways to stop blind / sap than making blind the worst CC in the game. I mean compare blind to gouge ffs, blind 2min cd, 5s, breaks on damage, 15yd range. Gouge 20s cd, 4s, breaks on damage, 25energy, 8yd range.
Crit introduced a lot of problems. The reason why ppl started weak auras packages was crit modifier changes, since you were dying so fast that you didn’t even know what you were dying to, so you had to know really fast if modifiers were used by enemy to not die in 1 sec. If you check death logs crit is the reasoning mostly.
I think that it’s a good change.
I think that micro CC is what rogue should be about. That allows to cross cc entire team and so on. The problem is, all other classes got their micro CC too, taking rogue’s identity.
Blind into sap however (or even blind itself which was 8 sec long) is just unhealthy mechanism, with no counter play.
