Don't merge realms of different languages!

Thought I’d share, but I got some early results for realms they will connect next week, so far it seems to be only data from the realms they will copy (IE who’s ID will become obsolete), and I cant provide a destination realm other than for the French RP one cause there are no options but yeah :stuck_out_tongue:

  • Aerie Peak/Bronzebeard
  • Ambossar/Kargath
  • Conseil des Ombres/Culte de la Rive noire/La Croisade écarlate
  • Greymane/Lich King
  • Booty Bay/Deathweaver

I will update this if I find more…

Edit: Found 5, there usually is at least 6 but I couldn’t find it and I checked a lot of realms.

Actually they should merge all the servers, no matter of the language.

If someone wants to stick with their own tongue they can do so trough guilds and communities. But the Allys are going to get a real boost in mean of players, so it’s easier to find groups and guilds for content, therefor they become more attractive for progress gamers.

Look at the Burning Legion/Al’Akir-Xavius connection and see how that went… your suggestion doesn’t make any sense since you can’t properly raid with people you don’t understand. All it will do is make people transfer servers or quit like we can see people from Al’Akir/ Xavius are doing

I agree with what you said in answer to my post, as in that they should at least remove the portuguese tag from aggra: if the realm is not big enough to survive with just portuguese people and needs english people added, it shouldn’t be marked as portuguese.

Ofc people can leave, but not so many in so little time, the language barrier of that specific realm definitely played a part there.

Inaccurate numbers? I don’t think so, we can literally do /who checks on the realms, and those will not include the aggra bug, and it takes so little to compare those realms that surely a check at 19.00 vs a check at 19.15 the same day on the other realm will not give an inaccurate picture.

I pity whatever server will get connected with Drak’thul, I remember the trouble it caused for the OG burning blade players when the connections first happened in Pandaria, these guys are completely unwilling to speak English, it’ll be trouble for whomever they’re connected with.

If all are merged it doesn’t matter at all.

Yes it does matter, do you think people who speak Slovakian or Czech are going to join an English speaking guild over a Slovak/Czech?

People are far more likely to stick to others who speak the same language, merging all the servers won’t change that, besides, they’ll never merge them all anyway. This is how things will be, whoever gets merged with Drak’thul will be obtaining a borderline useless connection.

If people want to they can stick with a guild and communities of their language, of course. But also if people want to they can join guilds of another language as well. For the first group of people not much changes, for the other, the get plent of new options.

Indeed, drak’thul is gonna be a problem, they are all czech; like burning legion it doesn’t need to be connected, we need to see if blizzard decides to “help” some small realm by connecting it to it, where the only advantage is basically a more active AH, for the rest the small realm gets nothing.
