So I queued on my discipline priest and to my surprise, after hardly getting 4 wins and 2 losses I realized that
-Other healer ( 2 win 4 losses ) gained 30cr
-I did not get any rating
-I lost mmr value.
That’s the best way to make me quit shuffle for good as a healer, glad at least I had the tmog, unless they bring changes no chances to see more healers ever in this bracket !
So as a healer I started my first SS on my shaman alt. First game my mmr 1500 match average 1350. I go 4-2. Next game I have 1330 mmr nice. Then I go 6-0 1390 mmr. What a drag.
That the game think his rating should be higher have nothing to do how the game trying to reflect on your individual performance over the last couple of games and put you in the bracket where it thinks you belong.
Oh i queue as a healer under 1 k rating this way:
I try to win, i usually lose the round, the moment i lose i leave arena and get a penalty 15 min.
Then i log in with my other healer, i try to win , i usually lose, then i leave arena instantly and get the penalty 15 min,
Then i log in with my third healer and i do the same twice, till all of them get the penalty of 30 min.
That s all the wow i play for the day and it s very cathartic because in a way i troll the game without trolling it.
Yes, I think i just followed your advice. I stopped playing at all.
not fun for a healer (in casual level like me) when every third match I am against a glad with a new alt. Are they left any other players?
not fun when I win 4/6 or 5/6 and I get zero points.
not fun when glads with new alts cursing on me cause i did a mistake - at 1k rating.
Not fun chasing melees behind pillars to heal them with their life at 10% while they keep tunneling
not fun this constant pressure and agony to perform
because of the latter i started leaving in the middle of the games and then I finally realized I m exhausted. This game is a torture except you are a streamer and you keep pushing for your audience.
however I wouldn’t leave if my friends had kept playing, but there is left none of them. Everybody has stopped playing, so i can’t even play normal arenas.
Consequently, i take long breaks and they even kicked many of my characters off their guilds
I m realy sad. Because with their recent changes in pvp, gear, vendors etc, i thought good old days would be back. But no. I only feel toxicity, anger and elitism radiating everywhere in the game (pvp).
Solutions i have thought…
Introduce 5X5 arena in solo. Queue will be better.
Reward healers more. 5/6 win with zero points adds to frustration and exhaustion.
Remove dumbening or slow down its increase…after a point, it s like i dont exist in the game,
I cant compete against a multi glad with a new alt, and i meet them too often at 1 k rating. The more i keep playing, the more of them appear in every round. They somehow should meet each other…
Still after last changes, (the change in cc was good) i can see people going from 90% health to zero in one second. Must change this too. Bars going from 100% to 10% and then back to 100% in 2 sec is bad game. Makes heal feel like jerking and reacting in a shoot em up game. Bad. Very bad. Change it.
No reason to queue SS as healer, even less than in S1, since they made the entry ilvl require full honor gear, removing the only reason to queue SS as healer.
As a tank whose game mode was ruined because dps complained in prepatch when they had 5 min queues I have zero sympathy. I hope dps queues go up to 2 hours for telling Blizzard to remove tanks.
I would rather sit 2 hours in que than play a tank game every 5 minutes. Infact i would just stop queing all together if those were the options. Besides that tanks are not disabled n theres nothing stopping you from queing tank, you just cant exploit your role by taking on the healer role so you can backpaddle n press two buttons while trippling everyones damage in godmode anymore n thats your definition of ruined i guess.
We neither have any empathy for tanks too, don’t worry, not that we do not like you, we just know that tanks aren’t designed for pvp content, they’re just toxic to play against.
Queuing as a healer until a certain rating is pretty much 3 wins and 3 loses, because you’ll have one DPS player, who is atrociously bad. This dps player will then proceed to ruin your games, until you’re with the not so terrible players.
The annoying thing about this is, you gain no mmr rating. You’ll be in this MMR until you miraculously carry a game with someone who obviously doesn’t belong in that rating three times in a row and even then the rating gains you get are negligible, because of this you proceed again in that same bracket where the players are either very good or very bad.
Healing in Soloshuffle is very frustrating. I wouldn’t be as frustrated, if there weren’t people who blame everything on the healer.
Also: in that above mentioned scenario the dps players who aren’t as bad as the worst player in the lobby will get 4 wins.
DPS have it way better in solo shuffle, they don’t have as much responsibilities as a healer for their team but gain rating faster.
The starting dampening isn’t helping in this case either, I think if they’d tune down on that (or the weird HP buff that they implemented right before season 1 launched) a healer would be able to compensate for more dps mistakes.
Neither are healers, that’s why dampening exists to nullify the healer so games can end. With tanks at least you aren’t doing pve rotation waiting for dampening to ramp up so someone can die.
In the tank games in prepatch EVERY move you made mattered and dps had to use their defensives smartly to survive, because there was no crutch of a healer to instantly heal you back to full when you mess up. Tank shuffle in prepatch was basically the hardcore version of arena, and that’s why some dps cried about it and Blizzard stupidly listened instead of just giving them the option to only queue with healer if they need that crutch.
