Don't shut down TBC petition!

Dear People

Blizzard is planning to shut down TBC at the launch of WOTLK. It is unacceptable. I thought I would be able to clone my char from TBC to WOTLK, like from Classic to TBC. I thought the Classics were going to be eternal.

It doesn’t make sense to me as to why Blizzard would want to remove TBC so soon. I bought the Deluxe version and i thought TBC would be eternal. Wasn’t it their initial plan to clone our chars from one expansion to the other so we could stay on the desired expansion with the original char? What about all the private server players who came over? Didn’t they too think that the servers would stay forever?

If you don’t agree on shutting down TBC, then let them know. Nobody should agree on shutting down TBC. Blizzard should stick to the plan of cloning chars into the next expansion instead of overwriting TBC into WOTLK.

Oh no.

I presume the same thing will happen as with Classic, you choose whether your character moves to a TBCC only realm or levels on into Wrath.

The frozen vanilla classic variant must have bombed so they decided to ditch it for TBC.

Has there been some news saying they are scrapping it?

Wasn’t access to the classic servers free? As long as u had a retail active sub.

You basically paid for a mount and level boost wasn’t it?

Which u can carry on over to wotlk

But that being said, I do agree, I assumed they would keep at least 1 server at max lv70 for the players who enjoy tbcc forever.

no, blizzard seemingly confirmed that the TBC servers will be transformed to WOTLK servers. just type “tbc servers turning to wrath of lich king” on google and many sources will show up.

No “Era Realms” for Burning Crusade Classic Right Now

It was revealed that there would be no “Era Realms” for Burning Crusade Classic, and the Burning Crusade Classic client will just transition into Wrath of the Lich King, without any option for players to do character clone services. Patrick Dawson also mentioning, this also doesn’t rule out the possibility of a Burning Crusade Season in the future, it just means it won’t be happening anytime soon.

In regards to Classic Era, Tim Jones also clarified that Season of Mastery will not be the final Season of Classic. The Development team has experimented with ideas based on player feedback, such as no world buffs, updated raid encounters, and these are things the Classic team did deliver. Looking toward the future, the Classic team will be watching what players are asking for and looking to provide the best experience for Classic players.

I have to admit I’ve not followed the Classic news too closely but meh that sucks for TBC players.

Wrong forum I’m afraid. I don’t think you’ll find a lot of support for Classic issues here.

Having said that… Even with my hatred of Classic products, I think this is a stupid decision.
Why can’t they just have 2, maybe 3 servers stay TBC era?
They might be afraid the classic audience will be spread too thin, that’s the only legit reason I can think of.

So they can release it again in the future and charge more money again.

Yeah, they will charge all that 0$ from players again.

I think TBC era, just like classic era would kinda die off. The reason is, most of the people are moving onto wotlk while you are BIS geared and basically have nothing to do.

I think classic era or tbc era would have to be rethought and approached differently in order to gain success. Possibly repeating pvp seasons? Possibly add ingame leaderboards for raid speedrunners and parsers? M+?? Who knows.

Even so that could potentially split the playerbase even further so i just doubt they would ever implement something like this.

Anyway…

Nobody paid for TBC at all. You pay for retail sub and get classic access for free as a bonus.

Dumb decision by Blizzard.
