Shadow’s Rising
Btw, wasn’t the tree in Hyjal blown during Warcraft 3 events?
Could be awesome actually.
Yes and this one also grew back. You can currently see it in Hyjal.
Considering how all the other World Tree’s ended up it’s a risky task at the very least and yeah they are very susceptible to Old God corruption - due to roots.
Personally I would not want to have another World Tree to live in, their modest Long Vigil has ended and it would be fitting to get them some proper city, if we are talking about “what if”-s, but so far Hyjal will do as well, taking back that area is long due already.
Is this canon?
Given how even Blizzard has started to notice they can’t always lean on Horde characters turning bad for the sake of it, as well as Turalyon’s representation in the novel and the meta hints regarding some upcoming “Evil Light” story…yeah, i think setting him up for the villain camp is some probable route.
But its not certain at all.
There is always the repentance route.
As a side note it’s rather amusing reading these sort of things:
…from those same poster repeatedly shown willing and eager to have that same story unfold for Horde characters. Guess Karma eventually catches up.
PS:
No. It’s just what certain NE players want. Wouldn’t take the guy in this thread that said so very seriously.
I mean, in that same post he somehow tried to argue how Calia’s character is the best option for the Forsaken.
Zarao as usual being a passive-aggressive Horde fanboy who gets toxic for no reason…
Oh look. Someone got defensive.
You didn’t like me pointing out how you’ve spent years advocating for the sort of story you now dread? Sorry to hear that. Guess truth may be sometimes a bit ugly.
It was still a side note.
You may ignore it if you wish and focus on the other half of the post:
Turalyon can become a bad guy…or not.
It really is up to Blizzard.
You don’t remember advocating for stories that turned guys like Garrosh, or Sylvanas into raid bosses?
Rather i quote posts, threads,…? I mean, there are A LOT.
I mean, i could even quote the arguments people made against it back then. Arguments that went along these exact same lines about “Not destroying everything the race stood for” and “Not ruin a great faction leader”, you are now using.
And yes, i’m entitled to find the above amusing.
PS: I’ll also repeat that the whole Turalyon Villain thing is being blown way out of proportion. As it remains just a mere possibility.
Ok, No one cares, stop talking about the past just to start drama and stick to the thread please.
It is really interesting how easyly one can go from being positive about talking with people and theorizing about a hobby to becoming completely misantrophic and cynical just by reading some people within the same forum whose sole purpose and drive for existence seems to be to spread toxicity and just being an awefull human being for the sake of being one.
I allways assume these peope must be extremely lonely or just have been abused somehow in the past to develop such an aversion towards any form of empathy and thus are just hiding behind being aweful.
Weired …
“Advocating” or expressing an opinion with in a Forum which basically is for posing opinions is actually totally fine.
Some poeple like them, some don’t. Intelligent people might even find ways to argue them or find themselves with new views to think about.
In the ende everyone has the right to have fun but some people here seem to only have fun when other people are sad. Which make these people actually very sad shalls of a human being. Something to think about.
Damn if only draenei had this option. I guess they didn’t QQ on forum enough.
Sweetheart - not that I’m trying to tell you what to do, but if you want to talk about the lore, your better staying well away from these story forums.
Sensible discussions are a thing of the past. It’s why I avoid these forums like the plague because they are the real cesspit of toxicity.
For Turalyon to become obsessed with the Light, something would have to happen to Alleria/Arator , perhaps the void driving them crazy or so and that is literally Alleria’s story, so I doubt he’ll become evil.
There will be drama there though, don’t doubt that.
In the end we’ll probably ally with Anduin (light+void) and Tyrande (light+ nightwarrior-dark power) as the balance significants against both the void and the light.
To what are you exactly referring to? From what I saw people simply disagreed that turning dead elves back to life sounds terrible from story/narrative point of view and opens a very dangerous precedence.
And regrowing the tree looks like a desperate option to get to the status quo. I believe that if they reached for such a drastic measure means that a new chapter should begin that introduces simply new stuff that certain race can offer.
Fearie Land might be a zone that helps certain beings go back to life, but it works on specific conditions.
Usually, it’s wild gods or some ascended beings such and they require Pod. andto create such a pod is not an easy task as it was a big burden to prepare just a few for like 3 wild gods + Vol’Jin?
Do I really need to explain that?
I mean, I don’t mean it sarcasticly. Don’t you see a problem?
The issue isn’t disagreeing with someones post, stance or idea. The issue is how it is done.
You could for example be restectful, positive, argumentative and empathic but still argueing for your view and personal opinion, whishes or views.
Or you could disrespectfully, sarcasticly and toxicly talking someone down, insulting him and his views, ridicule the ideas or even attack ad hominem. You could then continue by even failing to or intentionally not delivering any arguments or proves for your claims or thoughts to make it impossible to be involved into the discussion, leaving the sole purpose of your post, in this hypothetical case, to spit toxicity in an event of trying to ruin someone elses day or make them feel sad, just fpr the sake of it while not even knowing the person at all.
Maybe this helps to see where the problem lies with:
Because you can chose how to disagree with someone on something.
What i find actually really frightening is, that appearently people are unable to understand this and are no longer capable of seeing and reflecting how they are behaving themselves and how they act towards other people, in sometimes an extremely awefull and disgusting way.
Back to your contribution to the thread which I am gladly trying to response:
The first question that arises for me is, what makes Voljin, a still generic troll, any different to for example the first Questgiver in Teldrassil? Beside maybe some artificial social status within his own society.
Secondly noone ever said that it, if it would happen, be a Thanos snap. The bug burdon and power that is used and needed for it needs so be coming from somewhere:
Well we have a questline in Ardenwald where Shandris is studying the origins of the Night warrior and learns that one Nightwarrior tried to split the power between him and his husband. Yet the power was still to huge to be conatined and both died.
One idea is that after the events of SLs the Night Warriors power will need to be contained somehow or it would kill Tyrande.
While it might be possible that she dies, I actually doubt it, since the whole purpose of the storyline from Shandris is to save her. And to be honest the frequency in which Blizzard tries to build up drama about her being in such a danger of dying seems to lead, for me, towards that blizzlike-totally-“unexpected” plottwist of Tyrande actually not dying but finding a way around it where every other Night Warrior failed.
In my opinion one possible tie into this questline and the ressurection could be that the power of the Nightwarrior will be split not just between two people but split between the whole NE race which could then power their ressurection. Or what I would actually prefer: Their rebirth → Giving NEs on Azeroth an unexpected high increase of child births. (Something that for example has happened in D&D lore with Dwarves. Thunderblessing)
So no. My theory is not just a basic status quo reset but a complex tether between the huge Ardenwald storylines coupled with the fact that Worldtrees (re)grow extremly fast.
Well no, I don’t see the replies ( maybe few) to be super toxic. People can be quite on point sometimes when they voice their own opinions.
I haven’t seen anyone here purposely trying to trigger you or mock you - and trust me, there are some people who are “this lovely”, they just enter the thread and post stuff that is meant to upset on purpose. But here? Well it was imo just disagreement - at least reading Northgrave posts, becuase he elaborated in lenght why he disagreed with you.
It was not “LOL, your idea sucks, get a real!”, so this is where the difference lies.
That’s a shame. Really. But only supports my case, unfortunately.
It is really depressing to see people being unable to see and reflect their behaviour or how they act towards other people.
Sigh
Well I whish you a good life though. I won’t be able to make you see that it seems.
Maybe you just adaped too much it seems that you can only identify the extreme cases anymore. Hmm … interesting.
Oh and by the way, sorry to not make that clear. I am not only refering to this thread of course.
i hope blizz turns you into a villain better yet they should make you an apprentice to Aethas Sunreaver as a npc as for Turalyon hands off
Well I believe that just because someone disagreed with you (and explained why) doesn’t necessary equals to toxicity.
And I actually encountered quite some times actual toxic behaviour, not someone who just sais “well no, this idea is beyond lame because 1) , 2) 3)” - I met people who were actually name calling, and acted hysterical even.
If someone is able to elaborate on why they have a different opinion than you then it’s not really toxic, toxic would be jumping to name-calling and open mockery.
Which didn’t happen in this particular thread.
Or maybe I am not too sensitive to call people toxic for disagreeing with me?
I thought I have pointed that out allready…
It would really help if you at least read someones posts when you ask for them.
sigh Whatever, really. I don’t think you want to understand but just ask some kind of twisted rethorical question.
Like I’ve said allready, you seem not to be capable of seeing the issue or behaviour.
