Don't turn Turalyon into a villain

Not MUH QUEEN.

I will kill Lor’themar myself if that happens

You won’t. Lor’themar is here to stay. But Alleria is just a rock throw away from turning mad with the void whispers. Just like all the other void elves. Better execute them on the spot before they can wreck havoc.

Do not forget that the majority of the forsaken that occupied lordaeron at the time before sylvanas blighted it, lived there prior to their death. They are the rightful heirs to that land

I do not know what are the laws in WoW universe so I can’t confirm, nor deny.

On topic of Undercity, I just mentioned, that if someone wants to name a random bad thing about strategic location of a town, likely Undercity has this problem. In comparison to Stratholme… I am not even sure how to compare the 2. I see no value except nostalgia.

And keep in mind, that all of Plaguelands are also “Lordaeron” and Stratholme is as Lordaeron as anything could ever be.

My thoughts on a subject to avoid copy-pasting walls of text.

And btw,

Is an assumption that has no firm basis. I tried to find the sources here, on discords of different lore fans, on reddit (wow / warcraftlore), US, EU and RU forums, for about 5 months. And still got nothing.

All I can say, is that to be true, Sylvanas had to raise less such a small number of forsaken in Cata+ time, that are of among the leftovers from the original 1st wave who were turned by Arthas are still would end up being the majority.

Honestly I dont even know what few people find in Turalyon anyway, he is yet another generic jihadi paladin who takes things about light deadly serious.

Turalyon is going to be the Villian of the next expansion. He’ll be a pawn of the Light… or a version of the Light which seeks to bring order to everything through slavery… Turalyon now sits upon the Stormwind throne and The Light has created a bargain with the enemy of all (Death)… You know N’zoth predicted this all.

I also know that this all sounds so boring and cliché. Bonus points if the final raid is called “Siege of Stormwind”, that’d be some extra cringe.

Is he boring or generic? He might be, tastes are subjective. So what? The same rings true for a plethora of other characters, new and old, as well.

Here is the thing, however. I cannot speak for everybody, but as someone who has been with the franchise more or less since Warcraft 2, Turalyon (as well as Alleria, the rest of the Sons of Lothar and other similar lore characters regardless of faction, for that matter of fact) is one of these few little, tiny, ever so decreasing remnants of the story and the world that I fell in love with all these years ago, before it went completely bonkers and became an unhinged mess, that somehow still remind me of that fact.

I was overjoyed when he and Alleria returned in Legion, not because he would necessarily be the same character I left in Outlands when it went nuclear so many irl years ago, but because they remembered he exists and allowed him to be an active part of the narrative again.

And I wouldn’t be opposed to Tyralyon being an expansion’s BBEG or “Gul’dan” antagonist, if I could trust Blizzard with giving him the farewell he deserves in my eyes, given his importance to the Warcraft mythos, however Blizzard has shown throughout the years that, with the exception of very few examples of fan favorites, is incapable of giving old characters the farewell they “deserve”.

So screw villain-bating (and then unceremoniously getting rid of) or victimizing (and then also getting rid of) old characters for the sake of it. It sucked when it happened to Rastakhan, it sucked when it happened to Zul, it sucked when it happened to Zul’jin, it sucked when it happened to Kael’thas, it sucked when it happened to Magni only to have him return a different character altogether, it sucks that people who loved the Old Horde have nobody major alive today, and I don’t even like all of the above mentioned examples, which is besides the point really.

Back on topic, they have plenty of ways of pushing the whole MuH eVuL lIgHt plot without villain-batting Turalyon, but I wouldn’t hold my breath really. I would argue that it would be better for his character if in said plot he didn’t became a loot pinata, as it would, theoretically, force him to make some tough decisions, but I digress.

Siege of Stormwind…

You start in the new zone where you fight 3 Lightforged enemies before fighting a Prime Naaru. you then go through a random portal and end up on the bridge of Stormwind where you fight through until you reach the citadel where you fight up the spire where you find Turalon onto now absorbing the power of super prime Nauru, which allows him to continuously heal himself and grow larger and more glowing each time…

Mythic version shows a glorious Light forged version of Stormwind where Turylon wins… but you know gameplay

Some characters are just like condoms. Used once and thrown away so they don’t screw up the story.

On the plus side, I doubt Stormwind will ever be a raid because it’s just not built like one. Orgrimmar has huge, open spaces perfect for trash mobs and bosses (same for Dazar’alor), but Stormwind lacks that. Its streets are so tiny, the buildings are all cramped up, it really wouldn’t make for a well-designed raid.

Sounds great.
