I have come across some posts about an author who made some racist comments. I have seen our player base, strongly condemning it. Good job guys!
I scrolled down for another post, where our player base has voiced out on another issue, where the France offices were closed. great job again!
but in that posts, people were making comments about how Non English speaking people could become the new customer service voice etc.. Ok i get your point. And then people have just conveniently made the post into a sarcastic racial stereotyping a certain country and mocking its people and went to an extent of calling them scammers and what not.. noticing the upvotes and replies to that post, i sense people enjoy racially stereotyping others?
Guys? really? if you want things to be better around you, the change must happen with in you. Now Im confused, if you guys enjoy racism to a smaller extent and loose your s*** if its a celebrity who makes some comments? Big or small, funny or unfunny, racism is racism..

sure it is not, but at least it has people to voice out
Okay now, you must know what is a joke and what is racist because in these times people are made of glass, and everything hurts them like a spear through the heart, really. There are even movie series about Indian people working in Call center, isn’t it a fact that many call centers are in india? From when saying facts is racism? Stop being offended by slightest comment about any minority because it is just ridicolous.

I do not know if you read that post and comments, Im assuming you did and so you support statements like all Indian people english is bad, or all Indian people who work in customer care centers are scammers?
and you find this to be a joke?

No, these 2 examples are obvious insults to those people and it’s impossible to pull a joke out of this and i agree with you such statements should be purged for good, i meant slight jokes about Indian call centers and that’s it, no harm done.
There are no jokes when you speak about racism. Thats what people are trying to educate the world. And ignorant statements like if the customer service center is in india means they are Scammers, shows your immature take on this entire racism thing.. and its better you dont contribute your 2 pence towards this cause.

So you are assuming an Indian guy would read these statements and like.. oh this is how the whole world sees me as, i should not make a big deal about it?
when the entire world is redefining BLM, words like ‘black’ list and ‘White’ list are being removed from organisations, you say this is ok.. sigh.
a Russian, a German and a Japanese guys are coming to the bar
racism?
You can’t fight such big stereotyphes as it is too deep, you can just proudly prove that whole world is wrong about you. For example, i have read and heard that stereotyphe for my country is that we are not nice and we are thiefs, stealing cars all over europe, how do i change their minds? i can only prove that i’m not a car stealer and i’m good guy to talk. I can’t fight with that mentality because i have no tools to do so.
If i were you, i would voice out brother. its not ok to stereotype others. especially when we are supporting other communities, then better support all communities. Looks like the guys comment about the indian joke got deleted. im sure he might have gotten a 24 hours ban. next time he makes such a statement he will think twice.
i suggest you start voicing out for people around you. these are hard times.

Recently i renewed my HBO GO subscription and i’ve started to watch Lovecraft Country serie, it made me hate racism as a whole in 1st episode, it shows how cruel other people were treated by others and despite being horror serie it bolds how is it bad to not respect other people.
I actually agree with what you’re saying OP and even liked your post.
However the whole call centres in other nations thing, Do you think it’s wrong to actually believe that it’s bad to have lanuage barriers when trying to talk to customer service? I’m Scottish and even the English complain about our hard to understand accents when we work in customer service, It’s important that there isn’t lanuage barriers when working in customer service and a lot of customer service companies neglect this. It’s a genuine concern, Not just towards Indian People. There is a proper way to communicate this though and not make out like Indians are scammers or it’s a remote issue that’s only caused by them.

Hold on.
Hold on…
You’re right, but to an extend.
Let’s not confuse racial stereotype made as a joke with actual hatred for a a race.
I am Italian, you can talk about how we only eat pizza and play the mandolino all day while being lazy and la dolcevita whatever.
But you cannot go on the internet saying that all Italians are disgusting, impotent and so on and still keep your job.
Context mate, it matters.

One of my favourite characters ever is Willie on the Simpsons, Even though they are sterotyping my people in a bad way with the character, Mainly because I know they are joking. So I agree with you in the most part.

Hell yeah he is speaking in Sardinia dialect for Italian, which sounds super funny as they would say ‘Understand me you will’ instead of ‘You will understand me’ xD It was great.

scottish accent is hard to understand oh my god
Indian accent is funny and indian call centers are scammers
theres a difference mate.
Think you need to reread my post. I agreed with your point. My point was asking if you thought the ones talking about lanuage barriers where bad too or just the ones calling them scammers?
I thought I made that clear, obviously not. I don’t think my post implied I was comparing calling an indian a scammer to being hard to understand, no?
So cut the Dramatics and stop looking for something in my post. Actually read it. OH MY GOD! GREAT JEBUS
This right here is what the concern is ! well explained
