Download Manager - glitchy/looping

Thought I would log in and saw there was the latest patch, so clicked for it to get going and it seems to initialise, reclaim space and then looks good to go.

But when I click on the game I am presented with “update World of Warcraft” and it starts all over again - seems to be in a loop, stuck at 0% and not going anywhere fast …
( I have rebooted twice and presented with the same issue)

That happened to me once. It constantly wanting to update-loop. I did a lot of googling at the time because blizzards support pages were next to useless. Just the standard clear cache, etc.

I found a post on reddit, suggesting that kill wow and battlenet entirely then I hard delete a specific 1kb file. Then reboot the PC, and let it update.

This solution actually worked for me. But Im afraid you will have to google for the specifics yourself, as it was a long time ago, and I can no longer remember the specifics.

Thank you, will give it a try :+1:

Update - ok did some surfing and saw that there were several solutions that may resolve it.

Went back to basics and unplugged the router/internet - everything! Left it for a few minutes, switched it back on and let it all reset it self - then went to try to start wow - the issue presented itself again - so at least I have now ruled out network connectivity glitches.

I then saw the following link and saw how it suggested to delete the cache file - followed the instructions, rebooted and success it worked! Logged off and on again just to make sure - sorted :+1:
