I have been updating WoW new update for about 1-2 hr now, and its on 91% with 10KB/S. It´s always slow like a turtle when I´m updating games on Battle net client. What´s going on over there?
Maybe put the games on steam instead. Feel like im back in the 90´s with this slow speed, maybe I forgot to plug out my telephone jack and plug?
Discussion NONE, just want to complain.
*30 min later, 93% 5KB/S

I remember playing Ultima Online with my 56K modem. Freeserve was my first internet provider. Don’t remember exactly how it worked, was it the price of a local call or something?
only thing you can do wait or put it at a time when there is less traffic . i downloaded the update at a time when most people go to sleep and it did the whole thing within 2 seconds
I still remember my grey coloured 36.6k modem and then finally upgraded to a sexy looking mat black coloured 56.6k
I think I used CompuServe for a bit and then was testing out some of the main ISPs, which would give you a free trial. If you didn’t cancel the trial you’d get a phone call demanding a payment. Was always fun to tell them to sit on my finger.
Create a new account/email address and do another free trial xD
Many many hotmail accounts back then and using Netscape as Explorer was poop xD
I’m still waiting to reach the downloading phase .
Right now it is "Initializing "
306 MB out of 350 have been "Initializing " for 30 minutes . And NO , HDD speed is not it as I have a fast ssd .
Not to mention the Update did not even start properly as it was “pending” other update , when there were none other running .
I had the same problem, I usually bypass it by launching the .exe file directly without going through battle.net, since I have very little time for the game, let alone such slow updates
But on a serious note, are you asking why the speed is so slow (as in you have faster net) or was you boasting to us about how appalling your internet was ?
