Agonising, annoying, angering, irritating, teasing you name it. The emotions felt when i have no energy and a rare suddenly spawns at some distance. Especially annoying when a normal flying mount would of made it in time.
“i refuse to collect all the glyphs/learn how to properly dragonride therefore it is bad”
You can progress dragon riding, and then you have more stamina, etc. If you are the type of player farming rares, you might aswell increase your dragon riding
“I refuse to properly read posts and comment about something that wasn’t even stated”
Yeah… OP never said Dragonriding is bad. Just that that particular situation they describe is a downside of the system. Which is correct; it totally is.
Even then, the amount of times you get dc’d because you fly into a pebblestone…
Normal flying mounts are immensely slower. My experience is the exact opposite, with dragon riding I can reach anywhere in time way more often than before.
Even with all glyphs, it can be pretty frustrating to be watching your map for a war supply crate on the other side of the zone, crash into a tree and lose ALL your momentum, then realize you have to climb a waterfall but you only have half a vigor left. So you pull your dragon in the opposite direction because the land slightly dips and you might have enough room to gain thrill of the skies, but it’s not quite enough so you’re forced to land and mass kill all the livestock in the area to regain vigor points. Yeah that actually happened and I hated it.
I love dragonriding a lot, but jfc it can be infuriating at times.
It’s literally not if you have your dragon fully upgraded and know how to fly. I fly on it without having to take the break and with twice the speed of regular flying mounts.
Stuff can happen. You might be hopping around gathering herbs or ore and be low on charges, for instance. There’s a plethora of reasons why; not all of them are down to ‘skill’. It’s a downside of this system and it sucks if it happens to you. Fact.
It’s almost like only reason I want to play is to witness the chaos.
When the dopamine come from confirming how wrong everything is. You know it’s bad.
Though I’m binging Plebs so that sure suffice.
Never happened to me I use the small zone map so I can navigate and fly indefinitly no problem.
I have never been out of energy when I have needed it.
TBF even if you have to wait for one vigor before starting you will always be faster on a dragon riding mount then a normal one.
The zones here are so big though that it’s easy to misjudge distance and think you can reach a rare in time!
Personally I love the dragon riding. Only time vigor becomes an issue is if you are trying to find something, like a hard to get to resource node or Great Hunt objectives…then it’s just lots of swooping and perching with no vigor!
