When I loged in today there was a small update. For some reason my pc will no longer play wow. I'm in no way technically minded so I'm having real issues getting it working. I've never had issues playing on this pc untill today. It freezes as soon as I log in then it drops me to a blue screen with a dpc watchdog violation message. All my drivers are upto date. What can I do?
A quick google search indicates that the "dpc watchdog violation" is a hardware issue. If you have multiple hard drives in your PC, or multiple partitions on a laptop, try installing WoW on one of those and see if the issue persists. If it does, it might be worth your while contacting a hardware specialist if you are not confident in the technical aspects.
I am having the same problem and I do not think it is hardware problem. Problem since 27 August 2018 patch release
Hey Teryworgen,
Murkresh seems to be on point here, do you have a separate hard drive you could try to install World of Warcraft on to test?

I have the same problem now while it is November. It ticks me tremendously as i try to have fun. I tried everything and still it doesn't help; all drivers are up-to-date, I hit the Update button all the freakin' time and still WoW (and only WoW) causes me to have the classic DPC Watchdog Violation...
