DPS should be more bound to skill

But its just trash and the quicker its killed the better

I think your not getting a thing from this thread.

I think i am , you are worrying to much about trash aoe dps when you shouldnt , you say ret /bm/warrior are all out of hand compared to others in the 10-17 bracket when they are not.
You should focus more on bosses anyways not worry about what your team mates do, tbh you probably out do them on bosses so it does balance out.
Either way you have not explained yourself well and therefore are being obtuse to others about it.

The game is pretty balanced at this point to be fair.

If you check the differences between each spec are way smaller than the differences inside a spec (meaning that player skill has way more impact than spec choice).

The “problem” you are referring to is not really a “problem” since it is created by your unique circumstances.

  • Keys especially sub 20 level, favor certain damage profiles (uncapped, frontloaded damage) and do not really let other damage profiles shine (dot, St, setup based damage profiles). This is by design, specs have different strengths/weaknesses, and at higher key levels this changes.

  • Another really important point is conflating spec differences with player differences. Because you are rarely running dungeons with other players of the same spec, you have way less chances to compare yourself to other players. So what happens is that, you might blame “spec” differences, while most of the time it might be player differences (since you will be comparing yourself to the “best” players that you group up with).

Compete with a BM ilvl 430 vs balance druid 444 in casual keys (15-20) and see what’s balanced.

Some classes are just missing burst profiles which should give you the option to switch based on the key level. And not feel useless after you gained loot and stick to a class for the season.

And imo classes should never blast in DPS when it’s the easiest in-game. BM is just ridiculous at this point. Can play it with my feet, sipping coffee and knitting a shirt while doing damage

i found it insufferable on caster classes considering all the [redacted] that appears on the ground

On the long run some casters are good when keys are 24+ range. Because they need to build up their damage. But how many percent are running those keys? Why is it balanced for the 1% of the game. Didn’t get this from the start.

BM is just a meele with caster range tbh. Nothing to worry about. A kid running around, happy that it got a toy gun on birthday

Now that is a bit exagerating, isn’t it?

i main marksmanship, and boy am i lucky to get a aimed shot of a lot of the times. went bm because i can actually move around and do dps. but im playing devoker and aug now xD very fun to play

Not really before that it’s easy

When only 1% reaches it, it is not easy.

Devoker is simple to master?
I am not sure about that.
The difference between an average evoker and a minmax evoker who has mastered the timing of the disintegration clipping etc is not a small one.

Augmentation on the other hand…

Read all posts thanks. And to the topic of evoker…

It’s called ezvoker for a reason.

I’ve never cared about meta. I just main this. I play it whether it’s good or bad and most of the time we are middle of the pack or worse.

I’m all for play what you enjoy. But I have friends that can only ever play the strong class each tier. It’s what they find fun. To be the top blasters.

Unholy is very strong in raid though. Not as strong in M+ but for most people they can cope with whatever their chosen class is.

This is the first time I saw that nickname for evokers

Read your own posts too and expect a reaction on your it.
And i actually push keys with a dps group survival hunter, ret paladin, demolock. I do not give a damn about your evoker.

They are free to try maining evoker and embarrassing themselves as Dev or Pres if they do not pick up the more fine details of how they tick

That is a HIGHLY controversial opinion.

Different specs have different skill floor and skill ceiling, but are balanced against each other. The skill floor and skill ceiling is not a factor on how much damage a spec is doing.

This is what it means that damage profile matter. You cannot tell which of the two would be ahead, because it falls on the players. There are good bms that could overtake the boomies 10 ilvls ahead, and there are good boomies that will wipe the floor with the hunter. It is a matter of player skill.

I think the term that fits that statement best is headcanon.
