Assa was last on the warcraftlogs M+ one not Raid
Bring player not the class was discarded by the team. They want classes to bring something âexcitingâ so you want to bring them.
Hybrid tax hasnt been a thing for a long time. But what you are saying isnât true. First Ret never was nor is allowed to be top DPS. Same for most hybrid specs such as windwalker and feral. Skill does play a factor and the type of content you are doing. Some specs are better depending on the scenario. So i am going to imagine you mean M+ here. In that scenario Ret for example is a strong spec now (not meta though). They have good burst damage, utility and survivability which is what you want in M+. But ofc, when you get to higher keys more sustained becomes important. It depends on the content as i say. There isnât one class/spec that dominates all scenarios.
But, i donât think there is any philosophy currently. They are just trying to keep everyone under control and failed last season.
Personally i liked the old mantra and when there was less RNG. But the team threw that away with Legion. They just make the case that sometimes you had to do a mechanic and that would nuke your dps so there was never a fair comparison of skill.
It is what it is. But i donât agree that itâs a big deal. Also, judging which spec/class is harder to play is subjective in a weak aura world.
Hi just had to read your posts. I guess your misunderstood something here. Itâs not about meta as some here stated. I couldnât care less about the 0,1% bracket. Most of us play 10-20 which should be more balanced. If they want to got that path at least every class/spec should have an burst profile which is not the case and fury retri are just hilarious in that kind of keys.
And everyone is complaining about twinks shouldnât get gear so easily because of whatever reason. And I worked my butt of to get 447 Ilvl with my main just to see some low equipped chars blast 500k dps in trash packs.
Should not be the case.
Hasnât been a thing for almost a decade. Blizzard said, during some interview leading up to Legion, that they no longer subscribed to that philosophy.
Tbh I think they flip flop between various philosophies.
A more casual guild is going to care less about what classes/specs people play than say a guild pushing for CE and even then many will take non meta specs or something for a specific buff.
I am talking about the Raid Tier list screenshots youâve posted.
Subtlety is last on the wowprogress one overall
Survival is last on the subcreation one overall
Ele/Feral/FrostDK/Subtlety/Suvival is last on u.gg oneoverall
Overall will never account for specific bosses where a specific spec will shine. You need a breakdown per boss for that.
Overall is generally bad for raid logs to begin with. Its best ignored in its entirety.
Iâm not sure why itâs going off at such a tangent with raid tbh, the OP was talking about M plus. I only started showing raid overall and specifically stated overall, when someone mistook the first M plus chart for raid.
Isnât this a community issue and not a blizzard issue?
To clarify again. Iâm running keys 1-20 usually. As I suppose most of the players.
Iâm not interested in meta as this is more like benefiting high key pushers. And what I experience is that time invested in my main doesnât matter at all because some classes scale just weird in those levels.
10 ilvl difference should also reflect in DPS meter. Itâs only a problem with missing burst profiles in the talent trees. As ramping up mechanics are wasted on âlowerâ keys. This game should focus more on the casual audience tbh
It is the drawback between burst specs and specs that have ramping damage profiles.
The few options I see they can solve it is something that people will most certainly screech at, and for good reason. When you allow a wide variety to have access to high end gear you should not be surprised that burst classes destroy everything in casual/low to mid level content.
But this has been the case for a long time now, so I do not know why it suddenly is an issue now? Specs like Fire Mage or Affliction Warlock were terrible to play in lower keys since atleast BFA to my recollection.
This comes down to the player a lot as well. In my guild there is one person who no matter what i do absolutely slams me on any dps meter. Even if they are playing the most non meta class.
Part of that is because i am an average player and they are just intrinsically BETTER at wow than i am.
I could complain about it but bottom line is that they are good while i am not.
I have seen countless instances where really good players outperform average players in worse gear.
you know âmetaâ is based on util and not dps except for very occasionally blips, like unholy wounds in waycrest manor. or fire after the recent âreworkâ right?
Ofc I know what meta is
I still dont see low item level rets or BM doing those numbers , BM is even getting a rework to improve such things. But i can understand you get frustrated.
it does mean dps is needed. Hence people asking what is the meta dps spec atm.
Hehehehehehe
I see people pump good numbers on Unholy Death Knights even though they are far from meta.
Gotta play what is fun , and if you are good at your class - you will have fun regardless
Exactly play what you like and find fun not what others try to dictate.
Yes true itâs fun to not getting a single cast through because adds get nuked by retri burst.
