DPS wise - which Classes are S Tier (Best number 1) + Everything wise (PVE + PVP) + At all times (Vanilla + All expansions) ?

I reckon these 4 :

MDPS : DH & Rogue

RDPS : Mage & Warlock

Please let me know your thoughts.

Boomkin was a legend in vanilla :stuck_out_tongue:

I was 10 year old or something during vanilla as a Troll Fire Mage… used to oneshot people with poly+arcane something+combustion+pyro+presence of mind+second insta pyro + just in case conflagrate sometimes. for finisher…

So fire mage was great too, it is still not so different actually, they can still oneshot people :smiley_cat:

I cant remember a single expansion where mage wasn’t god tier.

Thats not a oneshot if it’s 6-7 spells.

I think only true one shotters were arms warrior and warlock back in vanilla.

4k mortal strikes and shadowbolts often got the job done, and a good amount of buffs / setup and gear difference was needed.

Other classes could " technically " one shot, as many things would proc over a small amount of time resulting in a kill, for example enh shammy with windfury and is probably what Aigo is referring to.

Everything taken into account Mage is the clear winner.

You can count DH since it existed so since Legion

So I was right then the following 4 then :

  1. DH

  2. Mage

  3. Rogue

  4. Warlock

Any of you actually play mage or lock?

In pvp.
You can’t do much damage. Too much movement. Stun. Slow. Interrupt. Knock back. Cc. Pillar chasing. Meelees can attack while moving.

Shadow lands removes the blink talent that enables casting for mages. Hope they enjoy the warlock treatment.

In pve. Yes mage and warlock super best. (/s) Only reason people have one of those in raid is for portal /hs/magefood/gateway

Played Warlock much more than mage this expansion and I feel like it is one of the strongest classes for PvP currently. Nightmare when multiple melees tunnel you but still insanely strong class and any other class going 1 on 1 is outmatched I think.
Also so many stuns(and insta cast conflag roots) without even bringing the fear spam to the table :stuck_out_tongue:

Any rogue with one hand can beat a lock. Same gear.

Rogue and Druid 1 v 1 are very strong classes also, if you can’t win the fight you can simply reset and go again on your own terms, that kind of power is so good! DH can kinda counter it but then DH can be countered also by spammable roots/control.

Rogue is a great class but I definently find it to be more reliant on gear compared to a warlock or DH as an example (but we are not talking about gear I guess :p).

Expansion is quite broad ngl, especially when you don’t limit it to lower than class.

Mage has been garbage for half this expansion and god tier for the other half.

In legion, mage was good for EN, and then mediocre for the rest.

Don’t think there is any class in the game that hasn’t had a patch in every expansion where they were good.

I miss pre-Voidform Shadow Priest. Say what you will about WoD, it had some great PvP. Mind Spike was so good and fun to use. The whole spec was better when it didn’t rely on a stupid rage bar.
