Dracthyr ..and transmog..when?

I like the Evoker class. It’s simple, easy to understand. No stress.
I’m not a fan of the dracthyr race. I can’t see my transmog while i fight.
Why?
You have taurens with big moose hornes who can transmog into anything they want, you have vulpera, worgen, big fat pandas and so on…and they can all transmog.
Dractyr have to change to their human form to look good. …hate it.

I wish dracthyr would be able to use transmog just like anyone else…
Or at least have them not turn into dragons and permanently stay in their human forms without using a toy to do it while in combat…

Yeah when dracthyr as non-evoker. Use other classes was great with mogs

But still sad evoker cant. Reason thier spell like animation “breath magics” from mouth.

I would like my “blood-elf model” own magic-animation same from evoker spells.

also something evoker use flying with magic. Would put new animation for blood elf get wings/flying when use spells

Same for me.

I really like the class but I am not going to deal with having no tmog.

Either give them mog or let me fight in visage and do a DH thing that I only transform for a second while I use an ability that needs a draconic body.

While we are at it. If we get mog could we also pls get a hide wings option? We have so many cool back accessories

Bet you step in bad a lot.

I’m staring at myself, HEAL ME.
Noob healer.

I wish they allowed us to remain in visage form during combat on Evokers as well.

There’s 0 logic why we can’t. We have MAGES USING FIREBREATH already!

I dislike the dragon form a lot. The legs are too long, heads are too small. Transmog can’t be seen, there’s very few options to choose from when it comes to armor.
Meanwhile, visage form looks good with any transmog and the customization options are soooo good.

Why would a dragon be a dragon! Craziness.

bet you play druid and complain about being a bear in bear form.

I think it’s one of those things that isn’t going to change, similar to the Mechagnomes who are missing slots.

It’s unlikely to happen any time soon if ever. Dracthyr’s texture UV layout was made to be completely different than standard character layout. All player characters follow very specific texture UV layout where then armor textures are drawn on top. With Dracthyr they for some reason completely disregarded that layout thus making them completely incompatible with vast majorty of armor pieces.

I don’t forsee them going back and redrawing all the textures for Dracthyr anytime soon.

Hey now!

Then maybe a Dragon based Class is not for you.

Evokers are Dragons. That part of their class fantasy. If you don’t want to be a Dragon, why not play a more suitable class.

This is the post I meant to reply to.

The evoker class is pretty unique with devoker being a midranges caster that is super mobile and augvoker being the only sup buff spec the game has and both specs use the to this point unique feature of abilities where you hold the button und the longer you hold it the stronger it gets.

So I don’t think just not playing the class because it’s bound to a rather special race is a good argument when the class is pretty unique since I can’t find what the class gives me in other classes.

They should just give the option to stay in visage and only trans form for the abilitys that use flying or the breath attack and then transform back.
Like demon hunters do.
That way everyone is happy no one loses anything

Had the dragon form been better, then maybe yes. Look how ugly it is. Small head, huge legs, unproportional, ‘clumsy’ when moving around…
Another thing to note: The class plays smooth and really well. Some of us just don’t like how the dragon form is done and would rather we SEE our transmog.
Bestial races have never been something I enjoyed playing, the fact that Drac has such an amazing Visage form is something else – and I would very much like to use it constantly over the ugly dragon form.

Comparing this to a druid is ridiculous. I don’t play a druid, I don’t like the class and I don’t enjoy being an animal constantly, neither am I fond of the race options it offers. On top of that, you actually see your druid character on screen, and not their animal form.

Arguments like these are something I’ll never understand; just give more options for God’s sake. It won’t damage you how other players want to play Evokers :joy:

Pipeline summarized it really well. Making it similar to how DH transitions would be a win for everyone. ( But I still don’t understand those who get angry when someone asks for an option how they want to play their character :'D )

The aspects are also not staying in their visage forms when fighting. Why would dracthyrs do?

It’s a unique race+class combination.

And it would lose nothing if we had the option to stay in visage.

No one comes to your house and forces you to use it

I don’t get why people roll a dragon and then complain that they can’t have it look like an elf.

You have like five elf variations in the game…

I get where you are coming from and the transmogpart I can agree with. However the visage thing doesnt matter to me as I will be in dragonform 24/7 either way. Just look at me. Im faboulous.

This has always been a major question for alot of people but ar the same time we got DH locked to elfs, we got druids locked to certain races etc. Not until blizzard releases every class to every race is this gonna change.

Evoker/dracthyr 4 evah. #masterrace#masterclass

The thing here is… the ‘elf’ variation for Drac visage is the best they’ve done. They are more human than elf. I managed to create my novel character thanks to options they gave. But… I am stuck as a dragon in combat, which I am not fond of.
I didn’t make a Drac to be a dragon, I made it to look like a character I love – thanks to visage.

We all have different likes and dislikes, those who prefer dragon form, that’s cool! Some of us don’t. No harm done in CHOOSING how we want to play.

I rerolled a rogue now so I can keep visage form forever. Time to abandon Evoker, even though I enjoyed how smooth it played for a caster.

That said, giving DH and Evoker to more races wouldn’t hurt either. Times change, players love more options.

Or at the very least let Dracthyr be other races in visage form… Start by adding an Orc and a Night elf model or something like that.

They were seriously the first spellcaster I thoroughly enjoyed playing, but I can’t stand neither the weird belf male model or the human female.

That would have offset the lack of tmog a little bit, if at least I could turn into a visage form I like looking at.

I don’t get why some people are against evokers in perma visage.
Like do you personally lose something by other people having an option?

And it’s not even a big lore problem like it is with DH on others races

They look like something between a Blood elf and a fairy.

A lot of your abilities are based on being a dragon - you hover, you breathe fire, you breathe fire and fly at the same time, you use scales etc. The class basically is a dragon.

I think visage mode is just Blizzard preemptively avoiding complaints about you not being able to see your transmog.
