I think its obvious we need both tauren evoker and vulpera evoker. They are already in the game ! And i cant wait to play Vulpera evoker. Imagine how QT and insanely fun it would be to fly around as a firebreathing vulpera!
No. Not ever in my opinion.
You the first naysayer!
The technology exists with the Atomic Recalibrator.
Just need to get Blizzard to stop putting 12 hour cooldowns on the fun stuff!
The only thing that would make sense is to widen the options of the visage form. There are some really good concept arts already made by fans. But a full on evoker class for a non-draconic race should not be a thing (lore and balance wise).
Id love more race options for Demon Hunters before giving evokers more options.
I think we have suffered the Blood/Night Elf curse long enough
Do you even know the process that is involved in becoming a Demon Hunter? Especially with the Legion no longer a major threat, there is no need for anyone else to put themselves through that torture.
It does seem unlikely considering how much is tied to the race combination abilities.
A long time away if I had to guess. They struggle to churn out 1 class mountain and 1 totem for shamans, let alone new forms for druid, so you can imagine how long it will take for them to add all of the visage form stuff to a bunch of other races.
i foresee 2 expansions from now they give up trying to make the Dracthyr model work with transmog and just have it be a completely optional thing and if you want to channel fire breath for example you just summon a momentary dracthyr image behind you to cast it for you (sort of like Shadowflame for warlocks)
but yeah, 2+ expansions from now is when they’ll come back to evoker if i had to guess. the problem Blizzard has with wow is that it is one of the only 15+ year old games in existence that still gets updates, and players expect updates on ALL of that content, whether it was released in 2004, 2008, 2015 or 2020. the only way to combat this is to hire an increasingly massive number of developers or to neglect A, B, C and D while you focus on E.
the most recent passes have been on Shadowlands abilities, making them not-shadowlandsy, the hero talents, augment evokers, Earthen and the next one will likely be on that new troll/elf race the Harronir, as well as things like night elf paladins and Earthen druids.
Blizzard needs to find a hole somewhere in the content pipeline that they can fill with X number of months of work dedicated to making Evoker available to more classes and not come out visually terrible, and the chances of them finding a spot to do that any time in the next 2 years is pretty unlikely unless it becomes an ultra passion project of one developer in their spare time
Depends… If Dracthyr can learn to become other classes, from learning from them, the other races should be able to learn to become evokers. It makes sense lore-wise in that regard. Physically, they would need some different animations for other races for some skills, I suppose.
No,keep it on dractyr only, same way DH is elfs only.
meh another Drag’thyr thread.
Free choice of visage race would be very sensible, imo. The NPCs get to choose, but for some reason players are limited to a weird half-elf model?
Never used my visage form and never will until it can be something I actually like.
Drag? Oh no you didnt…
Thank you for this incredibly thoughtful post. You are so witty I can’t help myself and look up to you. From now on you’re my favorite forum poster for being so perfect!
I would prefer fewer races be able to be demon hunters, but that´s probably just me still annjoyed at them being mostly Illidumb and speeding off to their death before half the group has even zoned in
A gnome learning how to become a dragon created by Neltharion and empowered by the dragonflights doesnt sound right
Not until goblins can play as a DH.
Yup, I log in, click “Create New Character” choose Demon Hunter and then customise it.
No, it doesn’t. But that’s not what I was suggesting.
I was suggesting them learning to be evokers. That’s not quite the same thing as learning to become a dragon.
