Dracthyr humanoid race should have used the draenei model!

The dragon race is cool and all but in the long run, it can fail heavily. Why?!
Because, transmog is the end game for all MMORPG…
The way, Dracthyr is implemented, it uses mail armor and it’s about 99.9% in dragon form.
I also noticed that the head, hands, body and waist can be customizable to a degree or they are pre-made from the character creation screen. So, you cannot show-off your armor in dragon form to anyone…which sucks.

Another thing, I want to mention is, why blizzard are you so obsessed with the blood elf or human race?!
Why not go for draenei…
For example,
We are always in humanoid form, only when flying they turn dragon form or during some abilities.

  • The look

The female dragon form will have and look more like the draenei race but their inspiration is from Karegan from StarCraft.

The male dragon form on the other hand, will look like the draenei race but the inspiration is from Kil’jaden

  • Combat

While in combat their wings will open and they will be always flying mid-air like one of those priest spells.
Players can choose to decent to the ground and make their wings disappear like demon hunters.

  • Animations for male and female are different in their humanoid form.

One of the dragon abilities is to shoot a beam of fire /lighting from its mouth.
The male humanoid dragon will do the same but the female humanoid dragon will do from her eyes…

  • Armor

As mentioned, they will use plate armor.

So, blizzard these are my suggestion. If can implement them, then in the long run this race and class would Excel well and provide you a boost to your reputation gains from your customers.

I agree with this - I want to play Evoker but knowing combat will force me into dragon form with 0 visual transmog is very upsetting.

The obsession with blood elf rigging has to die out it’s getting out hand I would prefer if they added a new whole rig rather than recopying race rigs… Sigh.

Was wanting to see more innavation in to new things but literally using and reskinning stuff has to stop it’s one of the reasons why I have felt the game has taken the magic away when literally everything is being reskinned for 12 years in a row.

Not to mention those dragons forms is a copy of metamorphosis / eredar female demons rigs as well.

Question: lorewise, weren’t the dragons living among multiple races and could take on any form?
