Dracthyr Mages - A dissappointment

As a Dracthyr, I cannot spew any spells from my mouth. A literal dragon and the animations are there, who thought it would be a good idea to reserve that sort of animation to just Evokers…? A literal dragon and I cannot breathe fire, frost or arcane from my mouth, or even just dash by flying away.

I get it that it needs to be fair towards the other races, but other races have niche OP racials too. Why should Dracthyr not have a dash racial? It makes total sense for them…

What is even the point of playing a Dracthyr mage over a Dracthyr Evoker when the latter looks infinitely cooler? As a mage all there is is just looking like a dragon who casts spells with their hands. Big deal.

But then I might as well be a human and not look like I’ve had lip fillers all the time :weary:

Sure, but then you’d be missing out on some fabulous hairstyles with dual colors.
And pointy ears. And optional horns if you like that sort of thing.

Oh and instant slow fall, anytime, anywhere.

Well yh mages dont fire from their mouth lol i get why you think dracthyr mages should but it mean a lot of work for just one race and class.

Then they’d need to do the same with every caster varient.

If you wanted that others would want a warrior dracthyr to spin hit with its tail on whirlwind which would be cool as hell btw.

The only wish i have for dracthrys is no Deathkights not ever !

the dragons should be sacred and never be liched up.

They have glide :stuck_out_tongue: no need for slow fall

Indeed, it would be a lot of work… and that’s exactly what we pay them for! Just like the idea of whirlwind being a tailspin! Awesome!

I was thinking it more in the sense that the animations are already there for spewing spells from the mouth as they do it as Evokers but yes I suppose it would be quite some work to change the placement of the spell and the way it would fly from the mouth to the enemy

And to make things worse I used a leftover 70 char boost I had only to find out I’m not happy with the Dracthyr mage and I honestly did not expect that they wouldn’t be fire breathing dragons…I mean they’re literal dragons, it should’ve been obvious! :weary:

/hides face in palms

I know. That was what I was eluding to.

these dracthyr, dragon wannebees :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

I just want mind flay and/or void torrent to be fired from my mouth so I can look like a true void dragon B)

Bli can not make proper armor and transmog for dragon form Dracthyr, and you expect them to make proper dragon breathing magic

Because mages learn to cast spells like regular casters. A dracthyr mage still learns the same spells a human mage casts, and his mouth or draconic lineage has nothing to do with the spells he casts.

Evokers on the other hand use their breaths, because they are NEEDED for the specific spells.

It has nothing to do with animations and everything to do with lore.

That’s what they want you to think

A Dracthyr mage for me is like a Battle-Mage, it doesn’t breathe fire, it casts spells. Atleast that’s how I view them.

Yup, thank you for cheering me up a bit with that, I can be a human with cool horns and eyes and hairstyles and here and there also a silly badazz dragon

I think that’s the core player fantasy when you put the two together.

Man it’d be cool to spit out pyroblasts, not only for dracthyr

Imagine a Mag’har Orc spitting out pyroblasts dude…

Some of the comments in here is like listening to spoilt children. “We PAy YoUr WaGEs GiVeS uS oUr DEmaNds”. None of you understand the time, cost and logistics behind such a change. You are deluded to the reality of software development and stakeholder satisfaction. There are better ways to put forward request for change than to moan about your self importance on he forums.

Ok I thought the forums were there for feedback and criticism? And reviews. Including positive feedback as well. In this case no but I have posted positive reviews in the past too. That’s what the forums are here for, what self importance are you even talking about?
