Dracthyr related concepts

I think bronze completes the look!

Still waiting to find out more about dracthyr and their weyrns before fully devoting to concepts, but I’ve had way too much fun on wowhead already. I’ll refrain from spamming the six or so I’ve made, and post my upcoming main:

I need to know which sword this is :open_mouth: I can’t find it in the viewer myself atm and I feel like i’m missing something.

As for my current iterations of my guy, also his name is more of a black dragon as well, as it feels fitting currently

A bit of editing using the wowhead models

The sword is called the Cobalt Dragonflame Blade
It’s one of the new weapons come Dragonflight, I feel it suits the Dracthyr perfectly.

I have a personality nailed down, and I know what weapons I will use, even settled on a main color.

Still need to settle on the actual appearance and name.

Thank you!!!
Hoping for all the recolours on that one so we can also match it to a flight!
Current plan is that reclaimed ashkandi as per above, but this in red would be a definite secondary choice

I did see a red version, I cannot recall the name of it sadly…
If you keep searching through the 1handed swords that don’t have images on wowhead thought it should come up eventually!

Thats why i couldnt find em, i was looking at 2handers XD

There you go haha, I do not think Evokers can use 2 handed sword?
Maybe? I don’t think so though…
Still I hope eventually they get other options down the line like warrior and mage.

fairly certain 2h was confirmed for swords

Wowhead lists Evoker weapons as “Daggers, Staves, Fist Weapons, One-Handed Swords, One-Handed Axes and One-Handed Maces.” (plus caster offhands for the 1hers).

Just looked at all of them, and they look awesome. Definetely something to keep stashed away as well, and would look great on some sets i can envision, will mainly stick with my big 2h though, but definetely a must have for if my guy does need to use a 1h for whatever reason…

They are ostensibly part of the Black Dragonflight, but they’re not interested in the whole ‘inherently x/y/z because of your scale colour’. The moment they get the chance they’re gone, first to visit Blackrock Mountain and see what the heck Nefarian was up to, and then to just explore the entire Burning Steppes from the air (perhaps with a few friends). Maybe they’ll visit the Dragon Isles to get a sense of closure and to find a way to break free from any association with Flights, Aspects and this whole you-have-a-duty-thing so they can be their own person!

aka enlightened by their own draconic intelligence, not some puny aspect’s theology

Wowhead’s outta date then! That’s pretty neat. I like that they’re not limited to just staves as 2hers.

Yea, I even think that Azurathel’s sword he has, even as an npc, is supposed to be a 2h too possibly?

I’ve pretty much decided everything about mine. She will be called Meraxia (name taken from one of the Targaryen dragons in ASOIAF -Meraxes, and Onyxia), Mera in visage form, and will feel most connected to the black Dragonflight. I’ve tried to make her visage as humanoid as possible, with no scales or horns and a dark eye colour to hide the lizard eyes. Her personality will be the ambitious type who would try to get friendly with the correct people for her own personal gain. She’ll also have a lot of resentment toward the blue Dragonflight and the Aspects for imprisoning the Dracthyr.

This is amazing news, I thought dracys were limited to one handers n staves, so glad to know they can have 2 handers now

Probably fairly basic but for what I had in mind for my Drachtyr was, though subject to change I guess as we learn more of them:

A blue alligned (and tinted) drachtyr with inclinations towards the magic of the blue and bronze dragon flights. Bit of an oddball looking to spread her wings and fly, trailing after anything remotely interestingly magical or mysterious and prodding it to see how it ticks, regardless of where it takes her. a nature of a blue with more of an outgoing nature and some oddities more attributed too a bronze

yea, opens up so much more customisation. And they can feel like they can hit harder in combat with a weapon, if they can wield a bigger one xD

Tarecgosa just suits so well on a blue set, and dracthyr in general when thinking staves
