Any race/class restrictions on combinations should not be a thing in 2024.
Let people play what they want. You want lore? Go read a book. This is a game to have fun in.

in my opinion everyone should be able to play every class apart from
death knight and Demon hunter
i would love evokers to be played by other races though,
locking them to drakythr is like when Monks were locked to Panda only
its silly

I would certainly play Drathyr shaman if i could.
That would be cool used to be an option don’t see why they removed it.
I really don’t understand why they can’t be shaman. I can’t work it out at all.

MoP allowed azerothian races to go monk except goblins and worgens.

Dracthyr should be shaman. It’s an obvious perfect fit. I have NO idea why we don’t have them.

The whole «we are opening up all classes for all races» and then doing a 180 on dracthyr seems so weird 
Have you seen the dracthyr starting experience? Its so easy to smack in more classes lol
Also the earthen: «you can be whatever you want…»
But not druid it seems
Also DK must be the easiest to write lore for. «Need more dead people, oh lool! A dracthyr/earthen!»
You are already playing the best race in the game.

I dont think there is a lore reason behind it right now since all dracthyr slept for 20k years. Even though they are elementalists by nature i doubt the elementals themselves would aid them, cuz of their beef with the incarnates. But maybe im wrong.

The only reason why there are no shamans is because we have “something special”, which they have to make - new totem skins. Same apply for paladin mount and druid form.
Other classes (except DH) are simply copy/paste.
