Dracthyr should be able to use 'Soar' on Dragon Isles as Dragon Riding!

Edit: I’ve made a petition to encourage Blizz to implement this!

There really is no reason at all that Soar can’t function equal to your Dragon Riding while in Dragon Riding Eligible zones. Outside of the said zones it can function as is currently, whatever, but its genuinely such a huge let down IMO.
It would be such a small change to allow the visuals of a Dracthyr using their own wings but the impact of how it would feel would be incredible!

I’ve tried to avoid in depth information about specifics of DF leading up to it, and I guess (my own fault i suppose) I assumed that winged Dracthyr would mean flying Dracthyr and that flying Dracthyr would mean I wouldn’t have to look at the silly notion of a winged draconic being atop one of their own kind to do something that I should be able to do myself?

I really think its worth serious consideration Blizz, Race/Class specific mounting mechanics arent entirely new either, Druid flight form functions exactly as (if not actually slightly better than) a flying mount, with the same freedoms and restrictions. So why can’t soar do the same with Dragon Riding?

Thanks for reading, and I’d love to hear anyone else’s thoughts on it.

Fully agree. Soar should be equal to dragonriding on the Island after you get the skill.

Ive made a peition for this if youd like to sign it

Maybe i’m weird, but I actually like that Dragon Riding and Soaring is different. It gives me a reason to actually use my dragon mount as a Drakthyr

Which is exactly what I want to avoid. A dragon riding another dragon is silly, especially when he himself can fly.
