Hello, everyone knows that dracthyr will have soar ability that was recentely nerfed but I was wondering if dracthyr may also have the normal “flight ability mount type”like as a racial mount? What do you think about that? Like the worgen have the running ability like a normal mount?
Even wit the 1,5 sec cast spell?
Mounts have a 1.5 second cast time, which will be interrupted by taking any damage, moving, or entering combat.
They are like Demon Hunters, it would be overpowered if they could fly in that form as well as use soar, you’d be able to reach great heights then soar.
While I do understand the change it would be nice if they could keep the same speed as dragon riding mounts in DF zones, this way is less useful. But we’ll see, perhaps I’m wrong

“overpowered” …And how exactly would that be any different from using a regular flying mount to fly up high, then use Soar?
Obviously such an ability would only be usable where flying mounts are usable, similar to druid’s Flight Form.
While I’m less bothered by them nerfing the speed of Soar, I’m a lot more annoyed they didn’t remove or reduce the cooldown.
There is only dragonriding. Flying with regular mounts will come in at a later date as usual. Generally fairly late on through the expansion.
However in its nerfed form it’s not going to be as strong

soar has a cast timer i think so u would not be able to use it up in the air

Please for the love of all that is fun, just let the dragons fly where you normally can with a mount under same conditions. That’s all we want. Our dragons to be able to fly, not just technically take off every second tuesday under certain conditions if Jupiter is in the third house or some crap like that.
Make it exactly like a flying mount and no one can complain about it.

Druids get instant cast flight form, no reason to not allow Dracthyr to do the same as they litterally have wings in their base form…
It they flew from dragon island to stormwind they have to be able to fly…

I think a dragon type race riding a dragon is stupid… the new race should have been only able to fly as itself or at least turn into a bigger dragon version as it’s flight form… it is too puny.
I think it’s weird too. It’s not the only odd thing like that in the game though. A worgen druid transforming into feral form instead of fighting in their already very feral form comes to mind.

Imo undo the dracthyr nerf, remove soar cooldown, lower the 2 flying skill’s cooldown, or adopt full dragon riding as their racial with all the bells and whistles and upgrades, and remove the limitations of normal dragonriding only being available on the dragon isles. All the problems are solved, everyone can be happy.
Yeah, same. It feels weird having a pseudodragon ride a real dragon.
They could do it like with Worgen, where it takes a while for you to get into position.
This isnt saying that they must be able to fly on the Dragon Isles. They can be prevented from doing so until everyone else can later in the expansion.
