No matter which is true; 8 to 10 years feels like it’s very little compared to the reality of 17 years I wish they sort of stuck to real time, or even added time-skips, because now they’re condensing a lot of insane stuff happening in an incredibly small amount of time
Horde because dragonmaw has taught me that dragons should be slaves to orcs.
Makes you wonder what dragons are supposed to smell like
Horde because i want to play as the evil Dark Talons led by the evil Scalecommander Cindrethrash
Ever visited the reptiles house in a zoo?
Ofc, but I don’t particularly recall any smell, I think
the protagonist personally has, yeah
Most of the world’s most recent interaction with dragons was deathwing fortnite dancing on their homes, cities and loved ones.
or should burn you to a crisp. either of the two
Failure mostly.
But it’s alright, the dracthyr will be there to help them out. Neltharion’s greatest creation cut short before its prime will rise up dragonkind to the success they were always supposed to be.
Alliance Bronze Bro…
Time to timetravel-shenanigans the Lightbound into Azeroth
Just a note on this: it looks like the Dracthyr don’t actually have ties to any Dragonflight outside of being created by Neltharion.
Yea, I think we should at this point in time see them as their own flight so to speak, but only time will tell if they will try to join the other dragonflights on personal agendas,
perhaps regardless of actual colour.
Some dracthyr may (speculation) have their own tendencies to follow the suit of a certain flight, say a blue scaled dracthyr, feeling more aligned with the red flight’s motives.
I personally am currently until the lore is set in a way that makes me rethink this, go for a red scaled black highlight Dracthyr on Alliance, who will be more of an explorer as he will have some tendencies from the blue flight for a thirst of knowledge.
Hoping to have him be sociable in cities as he will need to “learn from the locals” when making preparations for journeys all over Azeroth to get a bit of a “history lesson” and further both knowledge and power (perhaps a bit of power hungry tendencies from black flight?)
The idea there is a character than will want to learn from and about others, and at the same time, teach other likeminded individuals what he can about himself and dragonkin too.
This hopefully will help the general view on dragonkin in the alliance from his side too (specially when seeing these alpha bits)
probably alliance
not to thrilled about joining up with dragon slavers and butchers.
And the Black dragons, amd the proto-dragons!
Personally, I’ll be roleplaying a green-coloured dracthyr healer/Evoker on the Alliance. And, if/when possible, later a black-skinned dracthyr hunter on the Horde.
Alliance for reasons stated prior.
If I play at all come Dragonflight.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t a lot of them live in that big dragon city on the Isles?
An educated guess but I’m fairly sure Stormwind and Orgrimmar will be the first places they’ll see of the outside world. Some of them at least will spend a decent amount of time there, exploring the cities and finding stuff out.
Of course that won’t stop the inevitable “New race bad why u in my citeh!?” (Genuine IC concerns aside), nor stop the questionable RP of some Dracthyr players. Neither should be an excuse to dismiss them altogether o7
Also going Alliance because Green is best and the Horde’s record of protecting Nature leaves something to be desired…
Might go Horde. Not sure I’ll RP much, but I like the idea of a Dracthyr seeking magical insights and history in Silvermoon City and Dalaran both.
Horde.
No brainer for me.
Flight colours are meaningless for dracthyr, especially considering they have a single class.
You can follow the green dragonflight’s ways and be purple.
Alliance simply for the activity. But the majority of the Alliance race’s distrust of dragons will make things interesting, in conflict with the night elves’ more trusting side to them. While a lot of people say things about the Dragonmaw, the Alliance has the Wildhammer clan who are also renowned for dragon killing, especially in the Second War. Falstad is sometimes known as Falstad Dragonreaver, you know! That will be interesting.
