Currently it seems that we are getting the “light edition” of the Man’ari customization options, based on what Blizz has shown so far a month ago, when comparing with the Legion enemy NPCs.
And while many players are STOKED to get these new options, since some have dreamed of playing as a evil Draenei for a LONG time (me included since seeing Archimonde in W3 for the first time as a kid)… It gives off a bittersweet feeling to see that we are basically just getting “red Draenei”… And not “Man’ari Eredars”…
On a different forum topic in here, a person listed out all manor of concerns and cool options, that SHOULD be considered as part of the new Draenei customizations, and it has received A LOT of attention in here on the forums. (I’ll link that post at the bottom )
And today… Patch 10.1.7 released… And the new Man’ari Draenei options weren’t included. Instead this comment from Blizz in the patch notes:
On September 12, follow Velen’s prophecy to reveal a new future for some of the draenei people.
Sooooo… Either the new options just weren’t ready in time… Or Blizzard saw the feedback, and needed more time to implement proper Man’ari Eredar options, to give the community what they ACTUALLY wanted.
I have no idea why it’s a week later than today’s patch, but that the draenei customisations would go live on Sept the 12th was stated a while back already
I think Id rather they spread out the content abit for me TBH. I have enough stuff to do this week already!
Also the watered down look is probably to reflect the fact that they are now on our side and not evil any more!
