Upon hearing the news that every race will eventually get a heritage armor set, I was wondering what ideas you may have regarding the Draenei.
In my personal opinion, the Lightforged set already mirrors the warrior of light/paladin fantasy perfectly. And it makes perfect sense, since they fought against the Burning Legion for centuries.
For the regular Draenei, I think something that would reflect their arcane/priestly ways would be an amazing addition. Think of it as a set similar to Velen’s.
Let me know what you guys think about my suggestion and please write some of your own ideas.
I have no issue doing that.
However, the Heritage Armor is confirmed and will make it into the game sooner or later.
The question I am asking is how do you believe the earlier mentioned armor set would best look like, to represent the Draenei culture in a way that sets it apart from its Lightforged counterpart?
Basically a shinier version of WoD stuff. Purple crystals and golden bits, likely some sort of plate-looking stuff but maybe a chance of a robe. Like you have the option for Belf armour. I mainly just imagine big purple crystal shoulders lol.
Something like the Akama gear. When you google draenei its one of the first picture, just leather robes something like bandages and stuff.
With that nonsense called allied races there is no reason to have two sets that look absolutely the same.
And aside from being glowy the draenei did pretty much nothing else.
Ah, I see what you are referring to. The simple garments that enforce the idea that the Draenei are refugees on an alien world, after all.
I could deal with that. Good initiative.
It’s among the earliest art shown of the Draenei if I remember correctly.
And some people seem to want as little clothes on their characters as possible.
There is no reason to not presume that the Exodar Guard ensemble would be the basis for such an appearance, as has been the basis, thus far, for Dwarf & Blood Elf.
Allied Races had similar premises to base their Heritage Amour sets on; the exceptions being that minimal, if any, Dark Iron Dwarf & Mag’har Orc examples were as prevalent in the game, to the point they were released.
Don’t hold your breath for them any time soon though, the art team has openly admitted they’re lazy with these kinds of things so could be a while off.
