Hi, sorry, I’ve got myself even more lost trying to read about Draenei locations and ages, backstory wise.
Trying to figure out which locations are possible, to match with each Draenei (regular, and lightforged), and ages.
So, regular Draenei can be from Argus? But they’d be older? And they’d arrive on one of the ships? And they’d be basically discovering a new place.
Then, they can also be from Draenor, but then I start getting lost, as there’s the alternate Draenor, so that means, they’d be alternate ones? How would they have come to Azeroth? Portal like the orcs? What age would they be? Do people RP as those much?
And they’d be confused by Azeroth as it’s strange to them?
Also, the LightBOUND. With Yrel. Could one of them split off from that and be just a regular Lightforged and travel somehow to our timeline, like for example when the Mag’har do?
Then, there’s Outland regular Draenei, what’s their deal? What age would they be and reasons for being here?
Where are new young regular Draenei from? Azuremyst in Kalimdor?
And then lightforged, so they’re from Argus, mainly? And they have their own ships? As there’s the Vindicaar and the Xenedar. But they’re hanging out on Azeroth now helping. So are new lightforged either regular Draenei who are made into lightforged through the process we do in the unlock scenario, so it could be a Draenei from Argus or Azeroth or Draenor? Just literally any Draenei that is “worthy”, and/or ones who are somehow just born special? Or is every Draenei born non lightforged.
Could one for example be an alternate universe Draenor regular blue Draenei who does the scenario and becomes lightforged?
Also do all lightforged have to be like mr or mrs soldier type or can they for example just be a little more normal and somewhat civilian. Just like maybe, blacksmith or something. Or like the talbuk stable help.
Yes
From Argus, or born aboard of the Xenedar (if you are a Lightforged) or the Genedar (if you are a ‘regular’ Draenei) - as a bonus, one or two possible could born on other planets that these ships, especially the Genedar visited, but then they had to leave behind when the Legion arrived
They spent some time there, enough to actually build cities. Then the Legion found them… the Orcs killed several kids on Draenor, Saurfang went vegetarian [Although orcs are said to be fond of pork, the sound of swine being killed when they are ready for slaughter remind him of the death screams of the draenei children, and older veterans like Varok are often troubled by the memory. It disturbed Varok so deeply that he has refused to eat pork ever since]
Now this is a bit tricky… we actually don’t know how many come back to Azeroth with Khadgar and team. I’m not sure that many, alternate lifes, lost ones… even the possibility could be hard or even maddening for som. To see again long lost friends, borthers, sisters, loved ones, yeat not the same ones. But I’m sure some came back.
I guess it was one way trip with Khadgar, then the portal closed - untill the Horde reopened it for a brief time to recruit soem AU Draenor Orcs (the idea come from an AU Draenor Orc, who travelled back with the Horde expedition, if I remember correctly, so if an orc or two come here with Khadgar’s team, then I’m sure some Dreaenei did it too)
Like the main universe’s Draenei, from Argus-born to AU Draenor born
Like it was confusing to the MU Draenei first, except the AU Draenor Draenei’s fate was a bit different, since they still had cities, strong presence, never had to face the Demon infected Horde (well, not at full might at least), but in turn they lost Valen. But never experienced the terrible cataclysm that tore MU Draenor apart and had to live in the remnants of a Broken world, or knew what a Broken is… nor they had to battle with the Blood Elves for Tempest Keep and escape with the Exodar, then crash…
I think an AU Draenei would be more open to a Sin’Dorei, since they had somewhat positive experiences with them, Lilandrin helped a lot with her Blood Elven squad… the whole Forsaken, Horde, etc could look insane to them. But depends of the Draenei in question I guess
I guess
After all, some Botani, Saberon and other things came with the Mag’har… maybe some Lightbound sneaked thrugh the portal, who had doubts in the methods of the Light Mother…
I think guilt is the main reason they stayed or went back to the shattered remains of Outland, after all the Legion followed the Draenei and without them the little backwater planet would be still whole and the Orcs never became the brutes they become…
There could be tons of reasons, including fear or apathy… again, depends on the Draenei in question
Define “young”. At 26 the Exodar “landed” on Azeroth… and now we are in the year 33 I think? So an Azeroth-born Draenei would be 7 at best
The Xenedar crashed and now a nice shipwreck on Argus
The Vindicaar is not “theirs”, but the Draenei’s as a Race, wich include the Lightforged. Its is their command center at the moment and where they could lightforge new recruits. The child of two Lightforged is not born as a Lightforged, but as a Draenei/Eredar (really, they are Eredar, just calls themselves Exlied Eredar, or Ma’nari Eredar) then had to train and become worthy for the procedure. This path is now open to the Genedar-Draenei too since the reunion of the two branch
Yes, I don’t see why not
The Lightforged are the Naaru special soldiers. But like in any Army, the soldiers are individuals and even the Lightforged have a little freedom I think to be themselves
(Mass producing Vigilants are still an option if you want a droid army with obidient souls, but even the Vigilants could be individuals, like Vigilant Quoram - who is at the moment I think a honorary Army of the Light member, since he/it is on the Vindicaar)
Again, good question
We don’t really know the birth-rate of the Eredar/Draenei, but considering they could live up to 25+ years and still look young (the only elderly Draenei so far we saw was Valen, who is a prune with beard, and that old lady in AU Draenor) - normally an immortal or near-immortal race reproduce very very slowly…
But on AU Draenor there are a bunch of Draenei kids running around, full families, young and teen to adult
The Genedar wasn’t that big… (the Diamond Mountain for the Orcs) so it is logical, the Naaru ordered/asked the Draenei to not breed like rabits. A ship have limited rooms and suplies. But when they landed on Draenor ( or a planet that seemd peacfull enough) they had a baby boom
Purely headcanon, but I would say 30% of the Draenei population is original Argus born, the rest is Ship or Draenor born…
But we don’t know…
The Light seeks one path and shuns all others as lies. The Void seeks every possible path and sees them all as truth.
Since they are servants of the Light, yes, they could be seen a bit Borg-like, but I would use the Force’s Light Side and the Jedi
They are like the a Jedi Order, just in their case instead of Yoda, they had Xe’ra to “guide/command” them for a very… very long time. And the Mother of Light was a bit… well, let’s say Illidan shattered her for a reason (and Valen just shrugged, okay, gather the “goddes” shards and stuff them in that handy machine the Vindicaar had for a… reason. I’m sure when the Prophet ordered the Artificers to build something that works with Shadow and Light power-soruce they wondered the old man finnaly lost it or not…)
