I’ve been thinking of turning this dude into a draenei. But I was wondering. How would Draenei monks work with regards to faith, the naruu, and the light?
Do they achieve inner peace through harmony with the light, and sort of become stronger that way? Or do they channel chi and spirits etc. similar to Pandaren?
In other words. Would most draenei monks still have faith in the light in the traditional sense? Or do they turn to the august celestials?
Believing in those principles does not conclict with also having faith in the Naaru and the Light.
So yes, I think most Draenei monks still believe in the Light and the Naaru, while also trying to practice the ideals embodied by the August Clestials.
Draenei like Nobundo see Shamanism as just another facet of the Light, so I’d agree that it would make sense that monks probably have some justification to work their spiritualism into their preexisting religion, instead of substituting it, as well. Abandoning the Light is pretty much impossible in Draenei society, it’s as theocratic as WoW gets.
Monks are as far as I know a different versions of Shamans. The Shamans access the Spirit of Life by keeping the elements in Balance and so themselves.
Meanwhile Monks access the Spirit of Life by keeping their inside in balance.
Also being Shaman is not really interferring with Light as Light also brings Life though not so in abundance as Nature itself. So unless you go to the way of the Dark Shaman a Shaman and so also a Monk are very feaseable for Draenei Lore.
