Hey ma dudes. So, i am trying to decide if i should keep my main on draenor or i should move it to argent dawn. On the one hand, i like that draenor has a huge population. But argent dawn has better quality comunity and better auctionhouse. Decisions…decisions.
I am interested in doing PVE in shadowlands. (the queue on login at launch is the same on both servers if i recall)

AD is for RP and alliance dominant realm.
If you don’t intend to roleplay, stay on a non-RP realm.
AD is alliance dominated releam.

well tbh it kinda makes sense.
we have 50 non-RP Realms… and a Non-RPer is gonna hit up the 1 Realm for RP? XDDDD a Conflict of interest is obvious here.
why do we find it acceptable to shout
“IF U DONT WANNA PVP DONT BE ON A PVP SERVER” when people complain
but not
“IF U DONT WANNA RP DONT BE ON A RP SERVER” when people complain.
It’s not about PVEing - it’s about not RPing. Being a roleplayer does not mean you’re not allowed to PVE. But why choose AD if one is OOC all the time?
I don’t rp at all.
What’s wrong with liking roleplayers walk around stormwind or any other zone and roleplay it out.
They make the game more interesting and lively. I also enjoy participating in their massive rp/wpvp events. The numbers are huge.
Been on this realm for 8 years I’ve seen it all. I have respect for roleplayers. I don’t disrupt their roleplay. I just stand by and watch
Because at the time the realm I was in was dead and I mistakenly transferred to AD realm but yes you are right if someone is not going to act in character all the time he doesant need to be on AD.
RP realms don’t have sharding in WM off. Unlike PvE realms.
I am the same with it.
Rp realms are alliance dominated, only share shards with other rp realms. If you plan wpvp or anything, you wont gonna enjoy it (as horde).
If you plan raiding, come to draenor. Other opinion could be kazzak.
If you have no interest in RP whatsoever I wouldn’t recommend Argent Dawn.
For Horde Draenor is better; Draenor has a better PvE scene, you could be able to find a more PvE focus guild.
You are also able to find more Mythic PuGs on Draenor.
For instance, before Mythic was cross realm I used to play in Argent Dawn and couldn’t find one Horde Mythic PuG.
Edit: Action House prices are better in Draenor; consumables, Transmog, etc are cheaper since the flow is higher.
The reasons i was thinking about AD:
-i don’t RP, i only PVE but i love seeing people doing RP
-i am not a hardcore raider so i find normal and hc raiding acceptable on AD
-the AH is good for buying stuff but bad for selling (on draenor)
-the community on RP realms is way better than that of the PVE realms
-trade chat (believe it or not, i hate the wts carry spam on all pve realms, spam that doesn’t exist on rp realms
-draenor is laggy

This gives a rough guideline as to realm populations but it’s from a raiding perspective
Draenor is the busiest realm but Kazzak is also very well populated for Horde. Make a character, run into the nearest city and see if you like it.
