Dragon race cup - not annual

So with the Kalimdor cup coming up soon in february, I was sad to find out how long of a wait it will be for the other cups to come!

Sadly I missed out on the Northrend and Outland cups, as I was taking a break from DF. Only to be back now and wanting to get the mogs from those cups.

And aparantly you can’t get the Icy/outland outfits, unless the Outland/Northrend cup is happening.

Looking at the calendar those cups won’t happen till 2026! With the northrend one in August 2026. So we’re waiting longer than 12 months for old content to be back.

I do not understand why blizz can not have these cup happen more often? They are not tied to any rl dates, they don’t have an impact on player power, it’s just for mog/achiement collectors essentially.

I would be even happy if whenever A CUP is happening, that you could buy any of the mogs during that time, than having them locked for no reason.

This all doesn’t feel like fun, but more of some weird punishment.

I missed the Northrend one due to being unsubbed and was hoping it would be annual. I wouldn’t think it interferes much with anything else, but I think Blizz must have found that either the code is too buggy (and so has a knock-on impact on other events) or the events are not popular. According to Icy Veins we were supposed to get Pandaria and Broken Isle cups as well, but they never made it further than the in-game calendar of 10.2 PTR. Also, I’m not sure how replayable they are, I loved the challenge first time round but would want new rewards for the second time round otherwise I probably won’t bother.

Yeah, it is sad. As I’m sure plenty of people missed out on these cups/mogs/achievements. And it’s such a simple fix…no one would even complain about it…

Why are they events and not just always available like races in new zones
