Dragonriding is 9001% better.
It is more fun, faster reaction time, easier but better control because of camera, less altitude loss, no unrealistic glitch needed to gain height, not restricted by small areas and not behind a huge timesink or paywall depending on your gold grind.
Gw2 sucky sucky.
I ve invested into gw2 and tbh it never ever can reach WoW (only in fishing).
Combat has no complexity, no kick, no distinctiveness.
Anyway,
Dragon riding in WoW is actually fun and it doesnt matter if it would even lack a few animations or realistic turn delay, this is what makes gw2 gryphon UNFUN.
You shouldnt listen to the GW2 tax arguers who cry for GW2 better, it isnt and I tried to love it extensively.
Dragon riding is to powerful in WoW but I am fine with that. In GW2 there are strong mounts too but in general each of them specialize in something specific. I wish Blizzard steals the Roller Beetle. I love it.
WoW Dragon riding and regular flying are nothing like gw2 mounts. Both games work different.
Why don’t you compare Skyscale to regular WoW flying? You may say it is bad too! The way you are going…
I’d like them to explore ground “dragon riding” too now. Like, a fun and fast way to travel by land too, with actually enough advantages to make you think about using it sometimes instead of dragon riding. Or event just for pure and simple fun!
Yeah skyscale sucks big time in comparison with regular WoW flying. It s not only that there is the uptime mechanic instead of infinite flying, it is also that the world in wow is better to use flying.
And no i dont think that it is apple and beans, they are all alike but the implementation in WoW is way better
WoW has always been good at taking other games ideas and making them better.
I do hope that they copy more of the mounts from GW2 so we actually have a fun mount system outside of DF zones instead of just “hey all mounts fly, hey all mounts run”.
Blizzard can even add ground mount and improved dragon riding multiplayer. I’d love to compete against other players but the current iteration is worthless.

Is now the right time to tell you that if you use Soar, afaik the one bound to space bar, on a dragonriding mount, you should briefly point the camera up because it gives you a speedboost in the direction you’re flying, meaning that you gain much more height and more speed?
:]
This is generally how I’m managing the races. Without this trick they would be MUCH harder.
What discussion?
That was my point, what is this topic discussing?
I could have flagged this as Spam (I didn’t). There have been dozens of posts regarding Dragonriding, generally positive as the feature has been well received by the playerbase.
Sure, sucky sucky that Blizzard copied.
Plus GW2 has more than one dynamic mount.
GW2 is sucky, but it’s not cause of the mounts.
Also WoW is also sucky sucky. Different issues but both lack in different departments.
So, spare us the whole tribalism shizzle. It’s good when mmo’s copy good features from competitors. I wish they all did that more often.
GW2 mounts implementations have an undeniably better flow.
GW2 almost got platforming designed in mind which translates well into the mount systems.
WoW might have one of the most satisfying combat systems in an mmo, but it got nothing regarding platforming forcing it to rely on some quite static movement systems and tricks.
Like WoW dragonlfying is just a glorified vehicle on demand, which carries over certain bugs from vehicle usage…
