I’ve noticed this nice trend of placing giant Dragon skeletons on top of very high mountains in BFA. So far, I’ve found 2 of them, one being on top of the mountain of Zuldazar (see pics), one on top of a mountain facing Stormsong Valley (of which I don’t have pics right now but I’ll post them as soon as I get back there).
Does anyone know if there’s some lore behind those, or they’re just decorative?
Nice surprises though!

Nothing to report here, just the skeleton of a Demon Hunter. Hah. I’m mage.
EDIT: Are that skeleton and the thread from the snowmobile a reference to Asmongold?
EDIT2: Yea, they are x’D
They could, it looks like this one has been killed by Zandalari. The skeleton in Stormsong Valley looks similar if I’m correct, whatever that is it could have been in both the islands.
EDIT: Ok I’ve been there again and I was wrong, those are 2 very different type of creatures, with the one in Stormsong Valley being a dragon like the Stromheim ones. There’s also a skeleton and a Proudmoore flag near it, but it’s not human, it has fangs apparently.
You’re welcome!
Interesting fact: I tried to climb the stormsong temple too, but everytime I go slightly off the map, I get a debuff and get teleported back to the graveyard. Something to hide? >:) I’ll keep trying!
Dragon Islands were the first of my thoughts too, but rather than being sure about it, it’s something I would like to be true XP it’s nice to speculate though
Not really, what you tryed to climb is the outdoor version of Shrine of the Storms, wich is where the Kul’tiras fleet disappeared, so the choking fog make sense lore-wise
Yap, that’s true for sure, but you can’t really walk anywhere nearby it, even underwater. I don’t even know if it’s actually possible to circumnavigate and avoid death by fatigue, so I haven’t managed to see the B side of the island yet. Mechanically speaking, it’s interesting!
Yep is an interesting mechanic, but it’s not the first time they do something like that, in general they use this to cover raid entrances before they become opened.
For example on Argus you can see Antorus courtyard behind a bridge guarded by Elite troops, that’s supposed to be Antorus main entrance, i was curious to see what actually there was in the courtyard but nope, when you try to cross the bridge some lava boulders will be fired from the lava under the bridge and basically crush ontop of your head XD (thanks Heroic Leap, it saved some time trying to get away from that damn bridge, i avoided something like 3 more deaths lol).
Then, that wasn’t our entrance to siege Antorus, but it’s a cool thing indeed
