as i just started playing dragonflight is the only expansion i have seen in its current state uptil now . thinking about giving a try to wotlk classic to see how old expansions feel like
Siege of boralus was a lot easier on one faction than the other. I donât know what they were thinking when they made one boss an absolute walkover when compared to the other one.
Waycrest had the RNG doors, absolutely awful.
Shrine was just awfully long.
KR was just all around awful.
God donât you just hate it when character have emotions about what theyâve just witnessed. Oh no varian just died. Anyway moving on letâs kill guldan
I dont know when i think back 8.3 was kinda cool minus some of the gimmicky corruptions but after the nerfs it was fun
Well, each to their own.
I HATED corruptions (the downsides anyway, stupidest idea ever⌠Punishing someone with something that should be rewarding), I HATED horrific visions and I absolutely hated what they did to Uldum and to the Vale. They completely ruined those zones.
I also just disliked the whole NâZoth aesthetic. I find tentacles to be disgusting (itâs genuinely one of the reasons why I hate the Draenei: I find their tendrils seriously disturbing).
And the voidy stuff was overdone and cringe worthy, imo.
Not even close
I would say its average, not terrible but not great either(except dialogues because some of them sounds like some CW teen dramas)
The one thing I noticed when playing classic (vanilla) was that it isnât vanilla. Which is why I stopped playing it back then.
If you want to get a feel of the old game (world content, although made a bit easier) just play through tBC retail with a character not higher than 30.
Vyranothâs alliance with the aspects was unbelievable. Itâs like Sylvanas forgiving Arthas and forging an alliance with him. I quess I want to see powerful characters instead of weak ones. Dragonriding was the best adjustment. Lore could be better, gameplay is quite same even with new talents. Itâs not a bad expansion, but itâs not the best.
As a collector Iâm not too keen on the rotation of rares (14 hours) and events [being a collector and all], but other than that itâs a pretty sold.
Much better from SL in every regard.
It hasnât even ended yet so you canât really make a proper judgement.
Iâm not talking about Legion Iâm talking about Dragon Isles.
The difference is in legion the emotional weight of that moment was felt and deserved
in dragon flight it mostly doesnât
Think Alexstrasza and the interaction with the ice primal, or her meandering about the rebel dragonkin which anyone couldâve seen coming from a mile away but it took her by suprise and she had to be explained why it was as it was
For me itâs the worst, Iâve played WoW since the end of MoP but Iâve never been this bored of an expansion before.
Till the next time something is âemotionalâ and earned and therefore bad. Or when the characters are emotionless and therefore bad or Mary sues or whatever
DF is very good, but itâs not perfect and Iâm not sure itâs best ever. I like the lack of mandatory chores, I think the raids have been good, but Iâm no fan of this planning for a Fated season and think thatâs a real let down for players after the rapid pace of the first year. It felt quite disingenuous to deliver so much in 2023 then so little in 2024. And frankly, the S1 healer balance was atrocious to the point I nearly quit the game. And then S2 augvoker and holy paladin were absurdly strong and made others nearly quit the game.
But as a follow on from BfA and SL, itâs a massive step in the right direction. If TWW is another incremental along the same path, it will be good. Dump fated, have a new raid tier every 6 months, make sure we donât get gross class imbalance at the start.
Let us just hope we do not regress to chores and lock-you-in power systems that wonât get any tuning
I would hope they dump fated in the next expansion also a wow expansion should be 4 season and nothing less 4 raids atleast i dont disagree with that
I doubt Iâll ever say that DF is the best expansion. From some angles I definitely feel it could have been better, I think the overall plot has been somewhat insulting to a mostly mature audience. Better writing wouldnât have necessitated drastically different content but would have made things click into place more smoothly and satisfactorarily.
From a systems pov I think they did quite a few things very well. I do hope theyâll reconsider world event content and make it more varied. I like the catalyst, the access to tier and mogs even for a scrub like me, the renown both in itself and how it affects alts, the upgrade path for gear, gameplay and talent trees on some of the characters Iâve played, the whole Tuskarr fishing thing, Furbolg rep and language⌠thereâs a lot of cool stuff imho.
I think in a few years Iâll look back on DF as a mostly enjoyable and cosy expansion, even if some aspects were weak to me.
DF is good expansion
I really enjoyed season 1 and 2
but s3 somehow managed to gave me Shadowlands vibe
But overall DF is a good expansion
Will never be close to pre WoD era wow but as a modern game love it
No not really.
From the story point its just boring with boring villains and how questing was made in this expansion it just feels extremely messy and without any focus and path at all.
As for features it feels like a total lackluster what we got is a new class i personally have zero interest at all from gameplay to race choice.
We got dragonriding yea i already have been using it since forever in GW2 so nothing new.
Open world just feels like it was made safe bet in mind its just bland.
Not really a fan of class design either in this expansion to me classes just feel overdesigned with way too much filler spells and useless overlapping stuff.
Its definitely better than SL but that is like saying its now better that i only have stomach ache and no more diarrhea.
Personally i prefer MoP that expansion was just pure fun to me and will alway be the best expansion for me.
Its good, but not as good as MoP and way behing Legion (but to be fair Legion was so good its unfair to compare other expansions to that one).
Its tied for me with MoP, I loved both expansions. Both had a fabulous sense of adventure and exploration. Good raids. Interesting and involving central storyline and alot to do for the casual player.
Although its funny how DF and MoP seem to be so very popular when both are probably the most removed from the human vs orc war that was at the start!
