Dragonflight Beta

Not sure if already mentioned, but my Beta invite turned up this morning, so remember to opt in!

No thanks, never saw the appeal of being an unpaid tester. I didn’t really like testing when I was paid to do it back in the Y2K days.
There’ll be plenty of time to get used to the new systems in pre-patch.

This. I haven’t used my alpha testing in quite a few expansions. I’ll play the game when it actually comes out so it’s nice and fresh.

Most people who want alpha/beta don’t want it to make the game better or report bugs or give constructive criticism, but use it more of an early access sneak peak.

You’re not wrong, but at the same time… I’ve watched my favourite class swing from decent to poor and back again in not a very long time frame, so I’d like to get a couple of hours testing time on beta so’s I can see how it will be in DF. If it sucks, I want to plan which one to swap to!

I’d rather say that for most it’s a mix of both. They get a sneak peak, while also reporting the bugs they encounter.

I spent most of my beta session yesterday just playing around with talents and a small part of the intro quests, and reported 4 bugs related to either the talents, abilities, or the quests.

I really doubt that the people who are on the beta for a sneak peak don’t actually report the bugs. Therefore even those who you claim aren’t there to make the game better, still help make the game better, regardless of their intention.

For why?
All I said is that it’s not for me. This is a perfectly valid opinion to have.
You’re entitled to want to be an unpaid tester, that’s also a valid opinion.

No need to be calling others names for not sharing your opinion. Mr. Insulty McInsulterface.

ne’er a truer word said…

Lucky you.

S4 must be really underperforming … for them to release Wotlk pre-patch AND DF beta at the same time.

Exactly. I got alpha and must admit I send feedback for classes I play personally cuz I don’t want a mess during dragonflight.

But for questing I’m out. I don’t want to ruin the magic of seeing things for the first time. I can just advice anyone to not burn out during beta… It’s will for certain ruin your experience during launch
