I really liked the new talent system at first because classes/specs felt stronger and more variable, but now I find it’s just too much.
I have almost 30 keybinds and sometimes I have the feeling that this is even not enough.
Every class has more active abilities right now than ever before, plus half the Spec Tree talents are passive abilities that somehow affect rotation and add unnecessary complexity.
I’ve never been so unmotivated to play a new character as in Dragonflight.
I think developers need to take a massive step back in terms of class complexity. It doesn’t have to be classic, but the way it is, it’s just too tight.
What do you say to that?
I say DF was a absolute god send in terms of class design past 3 expansions made me question if the game was designed for access for toddlers to play the game.
Now can i agree the boat went too far with a few speccs.
Whenever you beat someone in pvp, they mostly tell you how your spec is a 3 button braindead one, so I’ve learnt from them we need WoW to be even more complex than now.
They’ve tried pruning classes back to the basics and it caused homogenization and made classes feel boring.
I do agree though, for newer players, a spec with over 30+ different binds can look intimidating, but in reality, you’re only really pressing 4-5 in your typical rotation.
