For long i have wondered why do shamans still have the spender being earth shock instead of fulmination.
originally the act of earth shocking was just to release the stacks of lightning shield into the Fulmination, the actual finisher. with the introduction of maelstrom they kept the shock instead of fulmination and it makes no sense. thrall uses fulmination when killing garrosh, he fulminates him. shocks are something we do on the fly and always has been: fast spells shamans that covered elements. i think its time for earth shock to go, as its original role was taken by wind shock. this would also allow for earth shock to receive seme rework in order to be used by other specs like resto (like they can flame, frost, wind shocks, but no earth elements there for example).
so, this here is a petition for the actual maelstrom spender to change from earth shock to fulmination (no need to change dmg values and with the old fulmination effect prob still being in game it doesn’t even take much work from other departments).
as a shaman one should be more proud of fulminating his target than to earth shocking him…
